Houseworks Holiday Plan - Me & Mine Week

It's time to get a bit selfish and focus on our Personal Spaces and Master Bedroom. It's always nice to have a place to go (or for some of us hide) to get away. "Our goal: to create a refreshing space for reflection and rejuvenation."

For the Holiday Prep, this week is about inventorying our Christmas supplies (cards, wrap, tape, etc) and creating a Gift Closet. Don't forget to plan some pampering into your December too.

I haven't felt very motivated this week for some reason but I have managed to get my master bedroom done, I also did the en suite bathroom at the same time. I started on wednesday after I picked up the children from school, and managed to clean out all the wardrobes cupboards and drawers.Then yesterday I finished off the rest, cleaning behind the furniture, wiping down all the furniture, cleaning windows etc.

So I am on track now with the HHP although I'm not doing too well with makng my Christmas cards. I've adapted the plan to suite my home and lifestyle and added some things I like to accomplish for the Holiday season and making my cards is one of them. I have managed to count up the ones I have left from last year, but I really must get going with this.

We are in the process of converting our old garage into a laundry room and play room and I was hoping it would have been completed for Christmas. We are really going to have to move some though to get it done. I think it is this that is hampering my progress. I'm hoping to use some of the cupboards in the laundry room to store craft materials and be able to also use it as a craft room. All my craft stuff is boxed up and has to be unpacked and put away each time it is used an I think this is why I can't seen to get going with my cards. Maybe next week....
