I'm unpacking my Christmas bags

Hurray! It's great to finally make it here. Had a little trouble registering, alas everything is okeedokee now.
Feels nice, Mrs. Claus - love the new smilies and I smiled when I saw the familiar ones.
For anyone new that wonders in, I'm a Christmas lover from waaaay back. I love the traditions of Christmas and recall with great fondness and clarity all the merriment and wonderment I experienced as a child growing up in a close-knit family. Fetching our grand trees and the transformation that took place at the hands of my father while my two brothers and I handed ornaments to him. Mother decorated the railings with cedar boughs, mirrored beads and festive red bows. The list goes on ...
Decorating my Christmas tree, listening to music (off and on throughout the year) and watching Christmas specials (especially those that I grew up viewing), spending extra time with family (especially with the grandchildren) and wrapping presents are among my greatest Christmas pleasures.
I still believe in Santa. On Christmas Eve, no matter how old I get, I'm sure I'll still be resting in bed (who sleeps?) straining my ears and listening for the sound of sleigh bells in the distance.
My husband and I are owned by a half-feral cat named, O'Malley (I'm sure yule get to know as much about him as you do about me as time goes on).
Festive Regards,
Auntie M.
