Gingerbread house

I've always been somewhat fascinated by gingerbread houses. I've bought a few of the pre-made Wilton kits in the past. I've made honest efforts at trying to put them together but to no avail. The problem I have is they never stay together...the walls fall down, and before I know it, it's a pile of gingerbread and gum balls. I may need to use a thicker icing. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears. I'd love to make a huge one, a gingerbread mansion. Maybe I should take baby steps though:)

Thanks,
I looked but couldn't find anything about gingerbread houses. There are a lot of wonderful recipes though, some of which I may try for the holidays.

If someone has pictures of gingerbread houses they created, it would be great to see them posted.
