I just finished reading this story and I LOVED it!!!

Such a fresh and thoughtful take on the origins of Santa Claus and toys at Christmastime. I love the idea that it is all about giving, and that Santa Claus asks nothing in return, just does it to see the happiness it gives to the children. I also like how the book demonstrates the giving and kindness of all of the immortals, beings who are by definition superior to Claus, yet still think so highly of him and do so much to help him out in his mission. This story was an interesting read and definitely grabbed my attention and held it all the way through. I want to print it out and take it home to read to my DD this Christmastime!! I gave the story a 5 Santa Rating - It's definitely going to become a classic for me! Thanks so much Mrs. Claus!!!!

I completely agree jlcarey!!! :jump:

Baum carefully wove the story to focus on the true focus of Christmas: giving. God gave his Son, the first gift..........and Santa is a giver at heart! It held my interest and my imagination! :jump:
