Guess I'm really behind on my Christmas movies because I didn't even know about this one. Sounds really good. :smilecc:

My favorite is the one with George C Scott! It's one of my favorite stories by Dickens! :smilecc:

I didn't care for Jim Carey in the remake of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. In fact I thought the whole movie was awful. So I'm not sure if I'd like him in this role.

I'm not a huge Jim Carrey fan either. But I did like him as the Grinch. In fact this is one of my favorite Christmas movies. :smilecc: I think it will be interesting to see his version of A Christmas Carol.

The Grinch was awful. I hope this is an improvement. :holly1:

I saw the preview for this when we went to the movies last weekend. I'm looking forward to it. I guess I'm the minority in that I didn't mind The Grinch movie. I prefer the original of course, but the movie was okay. I think you guys that didn't like the Grinch with Jim Carrey may like the Christmas Carol better since it is animated. Maybe Jim will be easier for you to tolerate if you don't have to look at him. lol

Oh its animated. I didn't know that. I've not seen any previews yet and that could change it for me. I like Jim Carrey, I just didn't like The Grinch. He was great in The Mask and Liar, Liar. LIke all actors, you get some good parts and some crappy ones. :holly1:

I new about Carey's role in this remake, and ET stated it will be a 'humours take". This is one of my favorite Christmas books, and I can appreciate almost any film or play.........but a comedy? I'll wait for one of you to review it first!

I think a comedy could work. Disney's take on the story was comical and I enjoyed it. I'll be sure to post my review when I see it. :D
