By Classic I mean one that was created in the 1960s or thereabouts.
Feel free to share your choice.

That was a tough question!
I love them all, too, but if pressed, I'd choose Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, because I love Sam the Snowman and the tunes in this one, too.

That proves it! The poll is split 25% for each one -- so they're ALL our favorites! And we have to watch everyone at Christmas time!

Its a real close 1 - 2 between A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Both are wonderful examples of the true meaning and Spirit of Christmas, but I chose Charlie Brown.

I like each of the first 3..but my top favorite is Rudolph (isn't it wonderful that Hermey and Rudolph get some privacy time away from the shop by running away together?).

I chose Charlie Brown. I try to watch as many specials as possible during Christmas, but Charlie Brown is the only one that I CAN NOT miss!

Yeah I LOVE the Charlie Brown Christmas one - and they even have a 'sequel' - I found it last year but it went away and I have yet to find it this year.

Actually, there are 3 sequels to the Charlie Brown Christmas special:
1. It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown (1992, CBS; has only aired once and is available on VHS/DVD)
2. Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales (2002, ABC; has aired after A Charlie Brown Christmas)
3. I Want A Dog For Christmas, Charlie Brown (2003, ABC; airs as a stand-alone special, anyone confirm that?)

I chose Charlie Brown though I make sure to watch them all every year! Once December hits, we're non-stop TV Christmas movies and shows every day! (of course we watch Christmas shows ALL year long!)

Leprechaun's Christmas Gold is another 60's era Rankin/Bass special that always gets overlooked. I have a DVD-burn copy of a VHS from another online friend, but it is impossible to find commercially. Such a loss.

I loved Prep Landing last year but I've never heard of this film. I'm certain my children would enjoy it -- so I'll order it from Amazon.com. Thanks!
