September/Fall in the USA

I realize that September is not fall for everyone in the world, but we look forward to September/Fall arriving because temps get cooler and leaves being to fall (so that's why it's called fall...) - LOL

September 22nd is the first day of Fall here in the states. Thsi month for me is the beginning of our 'decorating season' - I get to hang fall leaves (fake strands) in the house and decorate with fall pumpkins and gords (fake again!) and make it look like a fall forrest in our place!

It let me know I'm that much closer to Christmas!

Yes, when I lived in the Midwest we always decorated with real leaves, pumpkins, guords, vines and nuts. It is the most beautiful display of nature! When we moved west, I had to switch to the silk type. Ah, but I have my memories!

September means Spring for us here in Australia.

Monday the 22nd is the official first day I believe! - I made our apartment like fall back on Labor day weekend! Halloween will be here soon!
