Earth Day is April 22nd.
This year, my girls' school is holding an interesting type garage sale. Basically they are asking the kids to bring in toys they don't play with. For each item they will be given a ticket or two. With these tickets they can then purchase items at the sale. Kind of like trading. It sounds really cool. I'll let you know how it goes.

What a great idea.
We have a day every year (March 28) where we turn off all lights from 8pm onwards - so many people get involved and we even had big cities like Sydney turning off lights it did not need (like the ones on the Opera House and the Sydney harbour bridge)...

I think every where around the world participated in Earth Hour this year. We did and so did our school, although on the Friday and during school hours. It really shows what power one person does have.

We're taking a team of children out to clean alongside the highways and take the trash to recyclers! Our beautiful Earth deserves good care!
