Went out for a nice relaxing dinner. I need to describe what this entails: a nice short walk through the fluffy snow out the apartment, down half a block and across the street holding onto my wonderful husband as we go to a neighborhood lebanese pizzaria/restaurant. Before they rennovated, they had a unique way of Dividing the one dining room facility, there is the "restaurant" side with nice tables and chairs, velveteen table clothes, linen napkinds, present Place settings and silverware. Then the "bum" side with ordinary tables and chairs, no table cloth or preset tables (though you CAN order from the same menu). I loved it. They have remodeled to make it more "uniform" but I miss the distinct difference between "dining" and just going someplace to eat. I can certain see how much easier it is and no laundry. It was however, still decorated for Christmas. Then we had a nice walk home in the fluffy snow. I love the snow like this just wish it wasn't quite so Cold. Perky said you can't have it both ways. :snowwow: :snowball: :snowkiss:

So has everyone bought their powerball tickets for Wednesday's drawing? Just imagine what kind of Christmas you could have with the big jackpot.

Yesterday we began taking the Christmas decorations down. I successfully took down the outdoor decorations, but didn't quite get all of the other indoor stuff put away. The Christmas tree is still up and decorated (perhaps didn't get to it by coincidence??). Everything else is in a big pile on the kitchen table. The house still smells great!

I haven't played the lottery in years. If I do, it's usually only $1 ticket at Christmas time.

I might have to break down and buy one for this drawing.

The town I work in still has their Christmas decorations up and turned on. It was so wonderful to ride thru town and see it.

Our winter wonderland journey was splendid!
The forest trees were heavy laden with snow & icicles. It was 10F & a picture perfect Christmas postcard. I got tears in my eyes as we drove away.

Today is post-Christmas sister's day for me. We are meeting to see the movie Joy and then having lunch. Afterwards she has a job interview and I will be volunteering. Family & fun -- a perfect totally tinsel Tuesday for me. :smilecc:

Christmas Crazy- the town I live in also has all of its decorations and lights up and on in the downtown. Fortunately, if I need to go anywhere, I have to drive through it!

Noel, it does look like a pretty busy week...the Christmas tree may have to be up through this weekend as well. As I woke up this morning, the house still smells wonderful.. Like I am waking up in a pine tree forest!
