Is everyone else here listening to Christmas songs non-stop all day long?
I am either listening to them on the computer, a Cd on a portable player, or the 24 hour holiday station on the TV. :santadance:

My mother-in-law bought some new lighted Christmas decorations. After she bought them she decided she liked the old ones better so she gave me the brand new ones. I love getting free Christmas stuff. :smilecc:

Dd has been watching Sesame Street on the PBS station. As soon as it went off The Connie Talbot Holiday Magic Special came on. What a wonderful Christmas surprise. She has such an amazing voice and it fits perfectly with the beautiful Christmas songs. :angelmerry: :sing:

The school is getting all decorated for Christmas. We've donated our old tree so now it's set up in the front lobby. The gym will be the next thing to do - can't wait.

Our neighbors have decorated their homes/yards across the street. The Christmas lights shine into our bedroom all night long! It makes me giggle -- it has a different effect on DH.

Two Christmas cards arrived today from CAY friends -- we're saving the to open Christmas Eve [per the children]. Last year they couldn't hold out that long, so time will tell! :D

The children took in the mittens for the Mitten tree this week. I think it's a great idea, they set up the Christmas tree every year at the school, children bring in new mittens, scarves or winter hats and put them on the tree instead of decorations. :smilecc:
There is a box under the tree for the food bank. The teachers also request instead of bringing them a gift, that a small toy be brought for a child in need. Every year I mean to get a picture of the mitten tree. Today is PA day for the children and I am going in for Parent/Teacher interviews, hopefully this time I can remember to bring in a camera. :snowwow:

Time is speeding by. I can't believe Christmas is just three weeks away. I have so much to do. We haven't even put up our Living room tree, and yet in 9 days we go get the real tree for the dining room. I am so far behind in the decorating department this year.
I am ahead in the present wrapping area though, of the ones I have got only three aren't wrapped. That's really good for me,usually it's Christmas eve when the majority are being wrapped.

Mistletoe Misfit--A mitten tree is a wonderful idea. How beautiful it must be when it's all decorated. I'll have to mention this at church. It would be a wonderful project for next Christmas. :smilecc:

I got up really early and went out Christmas shopping for the kids at church. I got a ton of great gifts but as usual I did forget a few things. Our program is the 13th so I will have next week to finish everything up. I learned one lesson this year....even a "simple' kids Christmas program takes a lot of work. :D

What great ideas ya'll have for Christmas! A mitten tree is an awesome idea MM!

It still doesn't feel like Christmas on an emotional level for me, but physically I can return to work on Monday. Maybe that will help.

Looking forward to more Christmas flicks tomorrow! :D

It's snowing here,,,,,it is so wonderful,,,,tonight we will be having an early Christmas dinner,,,,my wifes brother and his wife are visiting so we will be doing a Christmas dinner with them tonight. Can't wait for Christmas to get here for real but this should be a nice warmup to get me thinking about it even more.

Glad to hear your feeling better Noel. :smilecc:
I agree that the Mitten Tree is a wonderful idea. I am not sure whose idea it was, but it is a great yearly Christmas tradition for the kids to be a part of.
I of course forgot to take my camera to snap a picture.

ksrjreed hope you enjoy your family Christmas dinner and the snow!! :snowwow:
If the weather people are correct we are in for quite a little storm next week. Starting Wednesday with rain then turning to snow with a possible accumulation of up to 20 cm and another 5cm Thursday.
