I was just wondering what our goal was this year.

have been doing some final chores Before leaving Bright and early tomorrow morning. My stomach is telling me it would like to stay behind. Having Christmas ramen for dinner. (Perky had the Swedish Winter vomiting disease (yes that's what it is called) my first Christmas in Sweden and we had ramen for Christmas dinner...........fortunately we have had much better Christmasses since!

Yes, alot of it takes Place in Miami which sort of reminds me of my hometown, San Antonio where my parents have tamales on Christmas Day. They did not start that until I left home. After having along discussion with my aunt on my last visit, I now realize that all the weird holiday things started taking Place after my grandmother could no longer live alone and stopped cooking. I never realized she was the heart of Christmas until it was too late. I try to talk to my aunt about their lack of tradition by making her feel guilty "what will the kids remember? frozen lasagna? hot dogs?" The other grandmother does Christmas up big, but comparisons don't help. She is just not into Christmas. :razzberry:

I've never seen that Christmas movie. At least not that I can remember.
I'll have to look it up.

60F! This has been the coolest summer since I moved to the North Pole. We had a few Days of heatwave a couple of weeks ago, but then it has cooled back down. It will be hotter in Germany though. Our Malaysian friends said it would be cool to them. LOL
We are only going with backpacks so not much room to shop for Christmas this time around, but we plan to go back at some Point in the future.

In the totally not Christmas category: we went to see Antman again yesterday. A chilly theater beats the heat & this Marvel movie is a fun ride. And as a science geek I loved how they explained the particles & Quantum realm. And of course the best theme is father-daughter relationships with redemption, Don't miss it my Christmas friends. :D

Stopped by Hobby Lobby last night. Lot's of Christmas decor out on the shelves. I'd say they have about 75-80% of their Christmas stuff out. Stopping by there always makes my day.
