Well, I'll be offline for a day or so. Termites! EEK! Not only does it cost a fortune to contain those pesty critters but its not kind of Christmas surprise!

Noel-Sorry about your very unwelcome surprise. I know that could really put a dent in the Christmas budget. :|

Rain and a cold front moved through last night so it definetly feels like Christmas here this morning. :snowwow:

Noel you poor thing! Termites, how awful! I hope they can get rid of them super quick.

November and we had 3 bees come in the front door yesterday.
Last time I remember bugs still flying around in the beginning of November, was I believe 2-3 years ago. By the end of that month we had a good snowfall. Hoping we get a few flurries sometime soon. It would look a little more Christmassy! The kids are really looking forward to the first flurries so they can catch snowflakes on their tongues.

Well, I just cleaned out the fireplace (gas log). Propane tank will be installed tomorrow.
We've lived here ten years and never had it hooked up. We are really looking forward to cold weather now. And with cold weather comes CHRISTMAS!

Now I sit here listening to Music Choice, Sounds of the Season.
Thanks for the heads up Pretjah.

Ella Fitzgerald is singing "Away In A Manger".
Oh... Now it's Bing Crosby singing "O Holy Night".
Love it.

The weather has been so crazy in Vt this year, but it is amazing that while Ct got hammered with snow already, I haven't seen a flake yet. :flake:

Went shopping today and Christmas is in full swing in the stores. There is even a Jul i November (Christmas in November) feature with scooby doo on cartoon network. I have to look up the website and run it through google to see exactly what is going on. Hubby is too sick to watch tv.

Thought about going Christmas shopping today, but we have a birthday party to go to this evening so I guess I'll have to wait. :shop: Tonight is the lighting ceremony at Bass Pro Shop's Santa's Wonderland. I can't wait to go. :scene:

Wow! What great weekend so far.
My wife and I went to Christmas Made In The South (Christmas Craft Show) last night and watched two Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel today (Mrs. Miracle).

DS 11 and DD 9 both had their first games of the hockey season yesterday. Both were wins and good, clean games! It feels closer to Christmas when I am in an arena watching a game, freezing from head to toe!

Just booked. NOw we just have to arrange being off on Dec. 22. :-o
I was afraid to wait. Hubby is ex navy so is looking forward to being on a "real" ship. I told him if we like it that it just might have to become a "tradition". :dinner:

Yes, perfect since we are having an american christmas this year. They have an "american christmas dinner cruise" as well on a different ship, so when we have a swedish christmas, we can go on the american cruise. Sounds fair to me............
