Had a very nice day cruise with my beautiful husband today. We are off on vacation on Monday. I am taking a laptop since I have to job hunt, so will be checking in with my Christmas friends occassionally. This year, we are putting on a 4th of July cookout for the swedish family!

Noel, your computer art is fantastic as always.

Enjoy the cruise and your vacation, Jennifer! And glad you'll be checking in with your friends here at CAY while traveling. Just thrilled you're giving a 4th cookout for your Swedish :smilecc: family!

July 1st! We're on the downhill slide toward Christmas. :smilecc: Prayers to all those affected by the Western wildfires. So heartbreaking. And prayers for those in the East without power because of the storms. Hope everything gets fixed quick. We are in an extreme drought here so absolutely no fireworks this year. Guess we'll have to make up for it next year.

Absolutely my heart & prayers go out to all those afflicted by these severe weather situations. As you know, I lost my home in California several years ago. Just know there is a future..........may God protect you & yours!

And let's celebrate Christmas in July together online!

For those of you on Pintrest, search for "Lolly Christmas". They have a lot neat pins.

That was a great video! Praying for all those with weather difficulties and damage.

I am writing to you from a little pocket of Northern Sweden called Bjästa, actually it is smaller than that. Hubby´s sister lives along a private road outside of Bjästa with only 4 houses on it, on the edge of the Baltic Sea. It is beautiful and peaceful here. Internet is spotty though. We celebrated US Independence Day with the swedish family yesterday with a sausage and hot dog bbq. The only fireworks were on my Ipod and YouTube. It did occur to me though that fireworks in the land of the midnight sun probably do not work out so well. In the Lundgren house we celebrate Bastille Day (hey, it is a red white and blue holiday with good food) and then we are on to Christmas in July! I am so sorry to have missed the AMC lineup. Have to check it out and see what we have on DVD. I really miss AMC.

Happy belated 4th to all my american Christmas friends! :gbhouse:

Aha! At the store today and I found Blue Belle ice creamed named "Christmas in July"! Its 3 types of cookies in vanilla ice cream [with red chips and green icing!]. I bought 2 quarts and we've already opened one for a taste. Yummy and perfect for 7/25!! :smilecc:

The world is a little sadder this week with the loss of actor Andy Griffith. I watch reruns of The Andy Griffith show all the time. And I have to say that 'The Christmas Story' episode ranks as one of my all time favorites. :holly1:

AW:::::::::::::::I want some! We have ben and jerry´s, but don´t get every trendy flavor that comes along. Someone PLEASE post pics. I wonder if we can make our own. Christmas in July ice cream would be awesome, especially if made into an ice cream pie.

The Blue Belle website is at: www.bluebell.com Click on the ice cream icon and here is their description of the Christmas in July flavor:

**Christmas Cookies in July - Gold Rim
Let’s celebrate Christmas in July! Your favorite holiday cookies – chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar – combined in a tasty sugar cookie ice cream with festive red sprinkles and a green icing swirl throughout."

So, yes you could mmake your own by adding the cookies, red chocolate chips and green icing to plain vanilla ice cream. This is easier though!

I am in Sweden. I realized it was Bluebell when I did not see it on the Ben & Jerry website. We do not have BlueBell, but we can make our own. Have to that alot in Sweden. :razzberry:

Can someone also give me a list of the programs shown on AMC on July 4 for Christmas in July? I tried to backtrack on the stations web schedule, but it will not let you go backwards.

Here is the link to this year´s QVC Christmas in July sale, I was surprised to see it is on a weekend.
