As you know, Operation Christmas Child is my favorite Christmas charity and our church also completed our boxes. I always smile when I read your posts about this charity and your family's commitment to these children CK! :D

That's too funny Tomtemor. I had never even heard of okra until I moved to south 10 years ago. And I like it. Deep fried is the best. Collard greens and black eyed peas were something new that I found I liked also.

I'm glad you have your job :D , but it's too bad you don't have time to cook.

Our stage had 271 filled OCC shoe boxes on it in church this morning. :shop:
It was a great site to see. My wife and I like to fill at least 2 boxes each year.

Christmas lights were up and on in town Friday morning. The mall and shopping centers were all decorated and busy this weekend. I LOVE this time of year!

I have made Operation Christmas Child boxes with my family and with my Sunday School class for the last 2 years. This is the first year that we could get the whole church involved. The response was great and people are already looking forward to starting on the boxes for next year. I went shopping this morning and picked up some candy for dd's stocking and I also bought my first OCC gift for 2012. :santadance:

I got the Christmas gifts ordered for my Sunday School class yesterday. I also bought some bags and some small gifts for my dd's classmates at her school. :santagifts:

Just watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The original animated version with Boris Karloff. Brings back lots of sweet memories. :smilecc:

I bid on a ring from ebay without paying attention to the shipping.
The ring itself was very reasonable, but sometimes sellers take advantage of overseas shipping to charge more than necessary. Wouldn´t you know it, I won. LOL Fortunately, hubby is very understanding and I told him he can consider it my "christmas" ring. :D

I also ordered some melamine pumpkin dishes from the US a few weeks ago (these with hubby´s permission) and they are IN! He will pick them up after work today, it is Christmas in November! I have the "once a year plates" which miraculously survived the shipping here, but I wanted something cute we would not be afraid to use for all of October and November. :dinner:

If I still have a job, next year I might get Christmas melamine plates if I can find a seller that will ship to Sweden. :snowwow:

Lovely Christmas village Pretjah!!! :gbhouse:

Jennifer do your pumpkin plates have a picture of a pumpkin in the center, or are they shaped like one? I don't think I have ever seen pumpkin plates before. :pumpkin:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/16pc-Fall-Pumpk ... 1879048879

that is another listing. :dinner: I have looked for christmas melamine dinner as well to use all of December and for Christmas in July, but only found one seller so far. I also made the very dangerous discovery of ebay UK which is much cheaper on shipping than ebay USA.

Yesterday afternoon I took down all my Autumn decorations that I had outside. Now I'm ready to start putting up my Christmas lights. :lights:

I just received the best early Christmas parcel ever! LOL My sister and BIL sent 2 official Clark Griswold Christmas Vacation Moose Mugs. I have wanted them for years but they were just too pricey for me to order them. What a wonderful surprise! :snowjump:
