We got an early Christmas present last night! Zelma the disappearing cat has come home! Someone in the area has been feeding her for a couple of weeks and finally got her to come into the apartment. She then searched on the Stockholm Cat Home webpage and found the announcement with her pictures. Hubby got a call when he was on the bus on the way home! Zoe, however, is not so happy. I think she had hoped Santa would bring her a kitten, not the grouchy Zelma back. But Hubby is happy which makes me happy. I was praying for closure, sometimes God has a sense of humor. ;-)

Hello Christmas gang!! It is good to be back. I have acquired a piano from friends who are moving. I can't wait to get to playing some Christmas carols and getting some sing-a-longs!

We will probably be doing light decorating this year. We do not have window sills for the traditional Swedish electric candlesticks, so Perky will have to solve that problem. We will be in Texas for three weeks, then back for 2, then to Norrland for Christmas week. I am thinking Christmas in July decorations might work out just fine. ;-)

Going to start our Thanksgiving lessons tonight with my church youth group. This Sunday evening we are having a Youth Night and I have to give the lesson in front of the entire church, which is making me as nervous as on Christmas morning. Will start decorating the outside of my home this weekend (weather permitting), while I am getting some other outdoor chores done. Christmas is getting closer and I am feeling the spirit more and more everyday. :smilecc:

We have a neighbor who will come by and feed them, etc. I am glad Zelma is back. Even though they live in parallel universes (as Perky says), having another cat in the apartment is better than being totally alone. Who knows, they might actually bond while we are gone. They did not get on well before. I had hoped that a wild adventure might make Zelma less dominant, time will tell. She was sleeping on a "Zoe spot" when I left today.

On the plus side, we have our first wet snow today. It's starting to feel more like Christmas! :snowwow:

I will start decorating outside this weekend, was going to wait until after Veterans Day but I can put up lights outside and still honor our brave men and women who have served. The wife and I have found ourselves in quite a jam this year when it comes to Christmas shopping,,,,,,,we seem to have the only 12 year old that is still stuck in 1988, my daughter loves The Simpsons and Garfield, it is really hard to anything Simpsons now, Garfield not so much but the fact she can tell you any and all fact about both, its quite outstanding. :smilecc:
