How fun, Mrs. C! Be sure to post a review of Avatar for us. Is your Christmas put away yet?

We had very good services at church this morning. The kids worked on making Valentine crafts. We made plans for our fundraising dinner next Sunday night. I hope the kids make a lot of money because we have lots of things we want to do when the weather gets warmer.

We have more snow and freezing rain headed our way. Will be here late tonight and all of tomorrow. If it can't be Christmas, at least I have Valentine's Day to look forward to. :D

We woke up this morning to about 5 inches of new snow and it's been coming down lightly all day. I saw on the news this morning where the Olympic Winter Games doesn't have enough snow. I would gladly send them this if I could.

It's a great day to stay in and watch Christmas movies! :smilecc:

We now have close to a foot of snow on the ground. And I can say that I am really getting tired of snow. :| Almost all of our snow comes in January and February. Just once I would like to have this at Christmas time. :smilecc:

I kept out a few Christmas candles just in case our power went off and we needed them. :singing: Thankfully the power has stayed on. I did light a peppermint scented candle just so I could enjoy the scent. I think peppermint is my favorite Christmas scent. :scene:

Well most of my Christmas decorations are in boxes now. The tree has been de-ornamented and the plug pulled but it's still up. It will be down and in the box by the end of the week, probably will do it on Friday, as it's a PA Day here.

We had snow in our forecast but they took it out and replaced it with above freezing temps and sunshine!! 8-) Woohoo! I am ready for some nice weather.

I have been working on dd's scrapbook. I've been going through all our Christmas pics trying to decide which ones I want to use. :angelmerry:

We've got our tickets to go see Avatar - can't wait - I just hope I'm not disappointed because of all the hype. We've avoided trailers and reviews and even our friends who have seen it won't give anything away. It's been a long time since I've gone to a movie with no information about it. Should be fun! Kind of like the surprise of Christmas presents.

I got my Valentine's Day gifts today. Hubby bought me a dozen red roses and dd gave me a beautiful pink tulip bouquet. I am very blessed. :holly1:

We have snow in our forecast again tonight. I really hope it's wrong because if it snows much we will have to cancel our Valentines Day dinner at church. The kids are really looking forward to it.

I can't believe it's the middle of February already. Spring will be here before we know it.

Only 315 days left until Chrismas!!! :smilecc:

This Valentine's Day is bittersweet for me. Last year was our Christmas without Dad, and now the next Christmas will be without Mom. I don't think I'll decorate to diffuse sad memories. I am struggling............

Noel--I really don't know what to say. I am keeping your wonderful family in my prayers and I'm praying that you can get through every holiday (especially Christmas) with joy and sweet memories of you Dad and Mom. :holly1:

Valentines Day was great and exhausting. The kids made over $200 for the youth fund. We had a good turnout condsidering the temps were in the teens and we had snow flurries off and on. They passed out valentine cards and all the kids got little goodie bags. It was lots of fun.

Hopefully we can plan something special for Christmas. :smilecc:

These freezing temps and snow flurries have really put me in a Christmas mood today. :snowwow: :flake: :flake: I'm even listening to Christmas music and I rarely do that outside the holiday season. :scene:

For all of you, like CandyKane, who have snow flurries == or snow banks! == wishing you sweet Christmas memories. I'd be playing Christmas carols too! :singing:

Avatar was pretty good - a little dragged out in some places, but I was quite impressed with it.

Watched the Daytona 500 with hubby for Valentine's and for supper we had Chinese food in honour of Chinese New Year.

Today to celebrate Family day - hubby took us to downtown Toronto and we (the girls and dad) went skating at the Harbourfront Centre. Then on to the Old Spaghetti Factory for supper. What a wonderful day!!!

The Christmas tree is boxed and still sitting in the hallway ready to be put away. Perhaps by next weekend. :scene:

Will you travel to the Olympics, Mrs. C? A little non-Christmas fun?

Mrs. Claus--I love how you are able to make Christmas last by keeping your stuff out as long as possible. My hubby would have a fit if I kept my Christmas boxes out. His feeling is once it's over, it's over. Pack it up and put it away. :grinch:

I agree CandyKane. Mine was up til the last weekend in January. Christmas flashes by so quickly when you work that leaving it up a tad longer is a great surprise! :smilecc:

What a surprise to find one of my favorite movies 'Christmas Vacation' on TV last night. It's such a classic. :smilecc:
