My brother is in flight to Mynamar for a month-long trip. It is against the law there to be anything but Budhist, so as a Christian pastor he can only teach the bible if asked. He is taking money to help families still trying to recover from the tsunami last year. If that's not the spirit of Christmas, I dont know what is ......... especially in a country where you can be arrested for being a Christian!

Noel--You're brother is a wonderful example of the true Spirit of Christmas. What an inspiration. My prayers for a very successful mission trip. :singing:

I just finished reading 'The Purpose of Christmas' by Rick Warren. It's a very quick read and a nice feel good book.

We just got a call that one of my hubbies employees baby boy was born this morning. We also have another friend who is being induced Monday morning. And last night, we found out that our good friends are expecting a baby this Fall.(They had a miscarriage in the Winter of 2008 so this is especially good news.) I told hubby isn't it great. We have 3 new babies on our Christmas shopping list! :smilecc:

I am in the Christmas spirit watching the snow fall this evening. So quiet and beautiful...it brings me peace. There is nothing quite like it. I hope everyone have a great weekend!

Where was all this snow at Christmas??? Although we don't have that much considered what others are getting - I still don't have to shovel. Although we did have to shovel once at the beginning of the week. :snowink:

Yesterday felt a little like Christmas - 1st Team Canada was giving away goals at the end of the 3rd period in the Gold Medal game - and then the Team USA was so generous they let Team Canada have the last one! Thanks for the Christmas present!

We have spring like weather this week then rain on the weekend. I'm bummed because we are going to Napa for my sister's bachelorette getaway this weekend and it will rain much more up north than where I am. Don't get me wrong, I love the rain because CA needs it and it puts me in the Christmas mood, but when I have plans to soak in the hot tub by the pool and have a wine tasting scavenger hunt in town the rain can be a bummer.

Americans love Santa and Canada! If we had to lose, we did so with honor to the greatest hockey team on the planet. O Canada! :D

Another cold, dreary, sunless day. I am so ready for Spring.

Just got the new Avon catalog and outlet. They have several Christmas items. They have a Christmas outfit that I'm gonna get for dd. :D

I would love to see the Avon catalog. They always have the cutest holiday lip glosses, especially for Christmas. I need to search for a new representative.
