My brother is driving in tomorrow for a nice visit before he leaves for the US Marine Raider Reunion. He is looking to resign as Veep hoping they turn positions over to the new young Raiders [special operators]. I look forward to his visit. And I need him to help me get down a big box in the garage with my poinsettia lighted fake plant for Christmas.

Just received a Christmas present early! My oldest son has been selected to march in the 2017 U.S. Army All American Band in San Antonio TX in January. He will be performing during the Army All American Bowl and we are so excited for him, he has put in a lot of work to accomplish this and it has truly been an early Christmas present and proud parent moment all in one event.

What an awesome early Christmas present for you and such an honor for him. You have every right to be proud.

Last night we had thunder!! No lightening.......no rain.........and the storm passed within 10 minutes but the sound of thunder still lifted my spirits. Today it is muggier than any Christmas lovers heart can remember. Counting the days til under 100F temperatures.

I love thunder too. I'll use one of my Christmas Wishes right now and wish for you some rain.

Well I have picked up some kind of a dozzy of a virus. Nausea, body aches, sweats and total fatigue. If it was close to Christmas I would rejoice in a day off to rest. But in this sweltering heat I just want to moan. And it is Monday. Oh, well.....

Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather Christmas friend. And the heat always makes being sick more miserable. Prayers for a quick recovery.

Sounds like my super flu, I Slept better last night after the morphine cough syrup but feel weaker today dr said it can be 2-3'weeks before you feel better. I wish I could sleep until Christmas.

Dd had the best idea for lunch today. Homemade pizza. Now if her and Comet will get my kitchen cleaned up I'll be as happy as I am on Christmas morning.

No magic Christmas reindeer showed up to clean my kitchen so I did it myself. Then I cooked supper and had to clean it again.
