I vote for October 17th. I remember in years past when we set a post goal. I know I posted like crazy the week before Christmas because I was not gonna miss that goal. It was so much fun. I think we should set a goal to reach at the end of this year and a much bigger goal for next year. Give us a number Christmas Crazy!

Since we didn't reach our goal of 2500 Christmas posts last year, I really think we can do it this year. So...

Christmas 2015 goal: 2500

We can do it!

pumpkin tarts are in the oven. I am now remembering that I still love all day cooking Projects, but my back feels like Santa on his last leg of the Christmas Eve journey. :thanks:

I love having a goal to work towards. 2500 posts by Christmas will be no problem. :smilecc:

mistletoe misfit wrote:Happy Friday Christmas friends! I hope every one is well. I am enjoying the Autumn weather and colours. Our turkey is defrosting for Sunday. I am cooking a ham tonight for when my sister and BIL arrive. And tomorrow we are off to a mid afternoon meal at my Aunts before one of our kiddies has hockey. Our Aunt is so wonderful. She didn't care what time we came for a visit a long as we could come.
I wish everyone celebrating Thanksgiving and everyone here a wonderful weekend full of family and love.

Glad you could check in Christmas friend. Enjoy your time with your sweet family. And for all those celebrating Thanksgiving, eat something good for me. :D :dinner:

It's the anticipation for Christmas that is the most exciting. I'm certain your little chicken and pumpkin tarts will taste awesome! So glad you're enjoying your cooking day my friend. :dinner:

BTW: here is a friend's recipe for Pear Ambrosia. A few pages back you asked for a recipe. Hope you enjoy it!

PEAR AMBROSIA

5 pears, cubed
4 oranges
1 c. flaked coconut
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries, halved

Cube pears, cut up oranges and combine remaining ingredients. Chill until serving time. Serves 4-6.

ENJOY! :thanks:

Last Christmas our total posts on December 31 was 1369. Our goal had been 2500 posts by December 24 at midnight. The deadline cannot be extended past Christmas Day to keep the promised goal.

Can I say that I think the Hallmark Channel has too many Christmas movies coming out this year? I will not have time to watch them all. I still haven't seen all of last years Christmas movies. I guess I just can't see tying myself down in front of the TV for that many movies. I'd rather live Christmas than watch it.

Our church picks up our boxes tomorrow at services and delivers them to Samaritan's Purse on Tuesday. We finished our boxes a couple of weeks ago. This is my fave Christmas charity and it is always a supreme joy. Our children learn such valuable lessons about the true meaning of Christmas by participating in the shoe box collections.
