I wish I had seen this topic way earlier! DH and I were at Costco on 8/19 shopping for DD's big birthday bash/sleepover and lo and behold, there were the Christmas lights and their big box of Christmas ribbons!!!! Of course I couldn't get all excited because my husband already thinks it's weird that I get excited for Christmas before Halloween...he'd really be ribbing me if I started being openly excited in August, or especially July when I started! lol Not that he doesn't know I am excited, but I take a lot of teasing if I try to talk to him about being all excited this early! lol So anyway, they also were getting all of the children's toys out in full force there, gearing up for the holidays. I love Costco, they are always the first store I see Christmas stuff in! Also, the Lakeside Christmas catalog is out online...I'm still waiting to get mine in the mail though. They sent me the fall catalog about 2 weeks ago after I signed up (again) to receive their catalogs in the mail. Also, the Lionel Trains Christmas 2011 catalog is available, and lots of other obscure online retailers have 2011 Christmas catalogs available to browse! Happy shopping!!

I'll have to go to Costco and look around. I know exactly what you mean about your husband. My husband thinks it's a bit odd that I get excited about Christmas so early on. I think he realizes it makes me happy so he just goes with the flow. I'll have to check out the Lakeside catalog as well. Thanks for the info :D

Yesterday I was shopping at Garden Ridge and Hobby Lobby...I'm not sure how widespread those two stores are....but they both have FULL ON Christmas sections!! You could tell they are still working on getting stuff out, but they had most everything out already, it was SO fun browsing through all of that! I even bought an ornament for my Dad! SO excited now!!!

Update: I just went to the Garden Ridge website and they sell so many items. There is one about 40 minutes away from me. I may have to check it out when I go to that area. Thanks for the info.

We went to our first fall festival of the season yesterday. Lot's of Christmas crafts. :D
Then we stopped at Garden Ridge. They have all their trees out and about half of their decorations. Now I'm trying to talk the wife into putting up the fall decor in the house. Wish me luck.

We went to Walmart today for some odd items, and I found 2 Christmas gifts! I also found 2 dvds on sale: Ironman and The Isaacs. So we listened to great music and watched a good flick on Labor Day! :D

You're quite welcome SugarCookie! I hope you enjoy that store as much as I do!

DH and I went to Costco again this weekend and now they have ALL of their Christmas stuff out...including the AWESOME rolls of paper!! Seriously, 400sq. ft. of nice, thick, pretty papers for $8.99! You can't beat that deal, that stuff lasts me FOREVER!

I went into my local Dollar General store last night and there were two shelves of Christmas items. I knew the items were coming soon (thanks to Noel) but it was a treat to actually see them. I bought a Christmas plate. It's definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas 2011!

:leafjump: Hi, its been awhile since I've been on. The stores are full of Thanksgiving items right now with some Halloween. Won't be too long and they will be stocked with Christmas items. Now that the kids have gone back to school the time will fly.

Hi Suzysnowflake,

You're right, before we know it, we'll be inundated with Christmas stuff.

Went to Micheal's this past Thursday and they were putting out their Christmas items, but couldn't shop for them yet - exciting to see though.

Just now watching Teletoon, we saw a mattel commercial for Christmas concierge. My first commercial.

And tonight our Walmart was putting out Christmas decorations and Christmas cards.
