My wife and I had a wonderful evening on Saturday night with friends that we hadn’t seen in a while. They made a wonderful turkey dinner that reminded me of Thanksgiving and Christmas! Delicious food and great company!

Tomorrow is the start of a new semester at school. I am still not sure if I will have a class starting tomorrow or if if will start during the 4th quarter. A few months would give me time to work independently with teachers and students on their own projects, which is what I enjoy most. Here’s hoping for a late Christmas gift.

The local ski mountain has been blasting away with the snow Canon so it should open up soon. We plan to go Watch the skiiers and have a burger. Perky CAN ski but I have no interest in taking up skiing at age 53........but it will be fun. I got a look at Love on the Slopes yesterday, what I saw was cute. Look forward to watching it all the way through.

We will not be home tonight, so let me know what you think of Hallmark's Love on the Slopes. Is it worth a Christmas Elf view? Enjoy! :D

Yes, definitely. as you know we have official winter sportsbreak in Sweden and up until Hallmark started Winterfest the only movies with winter sports were stupid teen comedies with snow boarders and a James Bond film. So while Perky is not enamored with the Hallmark formula, I do like to look at the scenery. Mostly I watch Hallmark for the intersting backdrops. Last year's a Winter Prince (?) was Christmas cute but the royal formula is also getting old. Though with Prince Harry's wedding coming up we probably have a few more to go this year. It makes a nice movie theme between Christmas and Valentine's Day. I just wish Hallmark would through in a good all around family movie like they used to make.

Merry Monday Christmas everyone! We just got back from Indiana a little while ago. Visited my oldest son and had Christmas with him and his girlfriend.
I was a nice long weekend. The drive up there was very interesting with freezing rain and snow with ice all over the roads. It took us an extra 3 hours to get there. Normally an 8 hour drive. It's good to be home.

Good Morning, Christmas Crazy. How wonderful to travel back to home ground Indiana plus have a visit with your son! And I know there was snow because everyone I know in Indy is expecting more this week. Hope these Christmas memories last a lifetime for you!

Please tell me you had at least one piece of piece like Hoosier Pie, Shoe-Fly Pie or Sugar Pie!?! That is one of the first things I do after a square donut, and PB on my burger! Hoosier born and bred me.

I have never watched any of the Hallmark Winterfest movies, but it sounds like the backdrops alone would keep the Christmas feelings alive. I think I will give it a try!

Noel- while I am not from Indiana, nor have I ever visited, I actually had some Shoe Fly Pie over the Christmas break at my in laws. They are from Cape Cod. I love that pie! It’s a small Christmas world!

Hallmark Movies are the only Christmas and snowy backgrounds I see unless we travel up north or east ward. It works for me Kiwi and I hope it works for you too. This weekend they start the Winter movies during evenings.
