Bought christmas kitchen paper (scott towels) today! Christmas is coming soon! Watching The Thanskgiving House right now. It is cute.

Jolly O'Leary wrote:Since we do not have the Hallmark Channel in Europe anymore,I am watching movie trailers on YouTube. And while I love holiday movies, and many of the romances are cute, I am reminded of the year following my divorce when the message of such movies seems to be that you are "empty" if you are not married and do not have kids. I wish the film companies would produce a few more movies that focused more on "christmas" rather than producing romance movies with christmas/thanksgiving just as a backdrop. They are starting to all feel the same. That is no Christmas fun. (end of rant)

Never thought of it that way. Great Christmas insight Jolly.

Love them Christmas movies too Noel.
We watched The Christmas Ornament last night.

I had physical therapy for my shoulder this morning (ouch!), then paid bills, and now I'm heading to my favorite chair with my favorite book (the Bible).

Maybe thats why Home Alone is such fun and the Santa Clause because they dont dwell on romance ? Blessings to you all x

Blessings to you too Tinseltown! And I agree........too many 'romantic' Christmas movies are not as fun as classics! :smilecc:

(NOTICE: The following post may sound weird, but it has a good ending)

Yesterday the wife and I both stressed from the never ending saga with her back pain and all the surgeries finally both had a meltdown argument, screaming, and the whole works (this is not normal in our house but we both had finally hit that point).

(Now the part that will be good)

After yesterday the wife and myself are feeling much better, we are talking to each other in softer voices and the Christmas spirit is back in our home where for a few weeks it had been gone. Today has been the best that the both of us have felt in a long time. :smilecc:

I know what you mean ksrjreed, my wife and I have had a couple episodes in our 21 year marriage. It always comes down to not communicating correctly. We talk, but not about the things that are "bugging" us about each other. A couple of times we just let it build up and then, BOOM, we blew up at each other. Most of the time we let each other know what's going on in our hearts and we work things out fairly quickly.

I'm glad the Christmas Spirit is back in your home.
God is good, strong and faithful. He will bless the marriages that are put into his care.
