The snow has returned! It looks like Christmas again. I guess the clearing of the streets was a bit premature.

Our church cancelled services today because of the ice and a chance for more this afternoon. Thankfully it's just a small chance and we have thawed out a little. Got a busy Sunday ahead. Have a great Christmasy day!

:snowwow: Enjoy the beautiful Christmas snow this quiet Sunday. A fire...some hot cocoa...Christmas tunes would make for a perfect day Jolly. :D

Any other movie fans watching the Oscars tonight? I sm having a girls only pre-Oscar party where we dish the ladies gowns & jewelry. Then its a mixed group watching the awards.

It's Bern a few hears since I watched the show & rooted for a film to win. For me that film is American Sniper.....the story of hero Kyle. Bradley Cooper was amazing in the tole.
Its not the type of film that wins (Zero Dark Thirty etc) but we'll see.

Have great night!

I'll watch some but not all. I saw a report that said American Sniper won't win because a doll was used and not a real live baby. I thought that was pretty silly as it is definitely worthy. So we shall see. :D

We do not usually watch the Oscars but from the speeches shown on Swedish tv this morning, they seem to have been very political.

It is back to the grindstone (having watched the BBC series Building the Caslte, I now understand that!) today on this Merry Christmas Monday!

Just a quick note to my Christmas friends, I cannot even share this on facebook due to family issues. My former father in law passed away. He was in his 80's, had lung cancer and alzheimers and a number of things and had not been himself for many years. But I was able to see him before I moved to Sweden. In many ways, I was closer to my former inlaws than my parents. Have to get the crying done before I go home, not sure hubby understands.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Oscars however watching Neil Patrick Harris has inspired me to watch him in a movie today 'The Christmas Wish'.
We didn't get any snow or sleet last night so the schools are open today. Dd was ready to go back. She loves school and was missing her buddies. We have a chance of snow this morning but so far so good. :scene:

When my former mother in law passed away, we had not been divorced that long and I stepped back into the role of "wife" for the arrangements, etc. Though I would not do that again, I would have liked to be there for the funeral. I am hoping Perky will allow us to send flowers at least. He has a good Christmas heart.

One of my gardening catalog companies sent me a special offer. I can choose a gardening product for free including free shipping and handeling. I think I'm gonna get a strawberry planter. It's like an early Christmas present for me. Yay! :snowjump:

To me it was very disappointing. A political rally for the elite rich liberals. We gave up on the show. Oh well........

I had kept my former name until my second marriage not because I hoped to get back together, but because I loved and respected my inlaws so much and it was much "better" than my maiden name. They are now together again and celebrating Christmas with the Savior.

Yay! Its partly cloudy today & we might a little rain. That's as wintry as weather gets here. It feels Christmasy even if temps will be near 80. :D :D
