Just checked the weather. As per normal, Christmas in July week will be one of the hottest of the year. HOpe the cruise is not too miserable. We have been on cruises where the cabins and dining room were so hot we wished we'd stayed home. I keep mentally packing and repacking my suitcase taking the lightest possible clothing. My Christmas in July plans probably just involve watching Christmas movies in front of the fan and trying to think of what to cook for dinner that does not involve actual cooking. Unfortunately, Perky insists on hot food even in the summer. It is one of his very few flaws........

Another brutally hot and humid day for us. We are in desperate need of a Christmas cool down.....and some rain. The pastures are all gone now with a severe hay shortage. We are feeding grain already. I don't want to sell off any cows. I don't plan to sell off any cows. Some farms have already sold out. I'm just gonna stretch the hay we have with grain, corn, etc. It's gonna cost us a fortune to get through the Winter. Lots and lots of folks in the same boat we are. Thinking happy Christmas thoughts
