I thought it was the top number that was important. Just ordered a thanksgiving lego set and a santa's workshop to give as a Group gifts to the Little second cousins in Texas. I hope they like them. They range in age from two 8 year olds to the youngest being 2. We will get something else for my brother's step Child who is 12 and now in middle school........

Bring on the BERS and the wonderful joys they bring. Like cool nights, pumpkin patch trips, falling leaves, warm socks, bonfires, hot chocolate, trick or treaters, turkey and dressing, snow, and everything Christmas.

Summer weather still for the next two weeks. Some Augusts I have been wearing gloves by the end of the month. I am definitely ready for the "burr" months that end in Christmas.

Anotehr holiday to celebrate on our countdown to Christmas:

NATIONAL DOG DAY

National Dog Day is observed annually on August 26th.

This day encourages Dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure, and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse-free life. Dogs give us companionship; they keep us safe, and they aid those in need. It is a goal for many on National Dog Day to find homes for all Dogs in need of a loving family. The goal of the National Dog Day Foundation is to rescue 10,000 dogs each year.

A Dog is man’s best friend.

HOW TO OBSERVE
Post photos of your Dog on social media. Take your Dog for a walk. If you do not have a Dog, ask to take your neighbor’s Dog for a stroll or volunteer at a shelter.

HISTORY
National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by pet lifestyle expert and author Colleen Paige.

This was on Swedish news this morning. Definitely appropriate as it feels like the Dog Days of Summer.

Merry Friday Christmas! Now that Christmas in August is past it is the return of Friday Christmasses! One more step closer to Christmas.

I'm still a little sore, but I have not taken any aspirin for over 24 hours. Doing much better than I expected. Looking forward to starting PT on Monday. I'll be a new man by Christmas!

This morning I'm watching the 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.
It must be very cold. Everyone is bundled up.
I can't wait to see Santa who starts off the Christmas season. :santa:

OH NO! I'm going to have to find a new download of the 2013 parade. After just a few minutes the sound and the picture were no longer together. I can't stand that.

So I now I'm watching the 2012 parade. Can't kill my Christmas mood. :D
