They let us take today off at work, but it's not a paid holiday. We have to work four 10 hour days the rest of the week.
But that's OK. I still like the day off.

Ditto here -- loved sleeping in for once! It's like a tiny Christmas package for the soul! :D

I am thankful for the late Christmas blessing that my aunt's cancer was removed with surgery. And it looks like she will not need chemo. I hope this continues for her.

However, I am at the hospital with my father who is sick. Need a late Chrismas gift for his better health.

Rejoicing with you over your aunt's Christmas miracle and praying for a new year miracle for your father. I've been in a position where several loved ones were ill/passed at the same time and it is very difficult. You and your family are in my prayers. :angelmerry:

Woke up to 65 degree F temps. The temp has been dropping all day and now it's downright cold out there. Feels alot more like Winter (and a little like Christmas). :smilecc:

My father is back at home. Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. It was very Christmassy weather today as the snow was falling on my way home from work.

A new piece for my Christmas village arrived. It is a rotating Santa and his sleigh with reindeer (it flies in the sky above the rest of the village). I am looking forward to seeing it this coming Christmas.

We got the Christmas in July hawiian mini ornaments yesterday! Too cute, they will look great on the little tree in the kitchen for a Christmas in July pick me up. We have a package waiting at the grocery store (also function as post offices here). I cannot imagine what it is unless the sea shell garland is alot bigger than I thought.

:snowwow: Send some my way, CK! It's near 75F here daily, with full sun and no clouds. My heater is off and Christmas feels far far away.

Having dinner with my parents tonight. With all of my village pieces finally here, I think I should come up with some sort of drawing to plan out what the scene will look like. I love the idea of planning for next Christmas!! Plus, I need to know how much space I will need.

Winter winds are blowing outside when it is already only 12 degrees out! Brrr. It doesn't have to be quite so cold for me to feel Christmassy. :flake:
