Need a bit of a Christmas lift. Feeling really tired - Oldest couldn't sleep last night and she kept coming in complaining that she couldn't sleep, so then we couldn't sleep either. I guess it is true that misery loves company. lol

I think I'm going to making some more Christmas ornaments for our tree pretty soon. I'm currently making a baby blanket for my best friend who is expecting her first baby. I'm going to finish the blanket up and then I'll start making Christmas ornaments. :gbhouse:

Hey Stephanie. Be sure and check out our Christmas ornament challenge in the Homemade Holidays section. You might get inspiration for some quick and simple ornaments.

I know how you feel. We went through that two nights ago with my son. A good cup of coffee helps in the morning and early to bed tonight.

I'm in the middle of my Spring cleaning and I swear my to-do list is longer now than when I started. I did find a great Guideposts Christmas book that I put up and completly forgot about. :D

I'm up and trying to get going on this Monday morning. Had a good day at church yesterday. We started our fundraising for our little kids special trip fund. We thought we would earn money for a year then see how much money we have and then decide where to go. I'm looking for more fundraising ideas so if anyone thinks of any please let me know. Hope all of my Christmas friends have a very good day! :smilecc:

a few years ago i did a spaghetti dinner that included, spaghetti, roll, salad. our church has a kitchen in the basement so my wife and I made the spaghetti in the morning and had it set up with some TO GO containers or there containers (they had to specifiy when they paid IN ADVANCE) because it was a fund raiser for the kids we charge 10 bucks a lunch and after taking back the costs of the things we had to buy (containers, sauce, rolls, spaghetti, salads etc) over 650 bucks for 3 hours of work (shopping, cooking serving)

Rain today and very cloudy. I think I might listen to a holiday song to get me in the mood.

My Ipod was set to shuffle today and to my enjoyment Englebert Humperdink came on singing a Christmas medley. Christmas isn't the same without hearing him sing his Christmas songs. It reminds me of Christmas Eve celebrations at my grandma's house. Englebert is her favorite Christmas album so my dad had the album put onto a CD. He gave it to all of us grandchildren and now it is on my ipod. I love it!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Thanks for the suggestion Pretjah! A spaghetti supper is a great fundraiser and I especially like your take out idea. I think it would be great to do a combo supper/Christmas bazaar. The bazaar would be for the things that the kids have handmade and also for bake sale goods. :dinner:

Last year my Sunday School class made bible calendars to give to their parents. They turned out great and everyone loved them. I think that this year we will make the calendars and some Christmas cards to sell at our bazaar! :smilecc:
