I might even make some of the ornaments from our Christmas ornament challenge to sell at the bazaar. :D

This is post number 321. We need to make 5 posts everyday to make our goal of 1500 posts by Christmas!

Today my sweet brother came down, while I was at work, to remove some of Mom & Dad's things. It's a huge process and he drove 8.5 hrs to do this for me!!!!!!!!!!
Now that is a Christmas heart for sure!

Many of my nursing school books/preparation materials/clinical materials are also being given to a student where my brother lives. I estimate $6,000 savings to her because it is absurd what they charge for these items. I am so happy!

Christmas for this student on the last day of April! :holly1:

While my brother was packing up items, my sweet DH pulled more weed in the front/back yards & alley. They were 5ft tall in 2 weeks in this heat. He also sprayed.......again.......that Orkin brand that's supposed to kill weeds for a year. My sweet DH had the Christmas spirit too -- he left my Christmas cactus in good standing!

Noel--It sounds like all your family members are just overflowing with Christmas Spirit. What a wonderful thing you are doing in giving your nursing books away. Helping others is the best way to keep the Spirit of Christmas alive all year long! :smilecc: :holly1:

Christmas Vacation is a great movie. Even though it's been around for many years, it still doesn't look dated. It has a timeless appeal to me. :scene:

The other day, Byron and I went to the Salvation Army to look around. I like to go in there sometimes b/c you can find some pretty interesting things sometimes. They had quite a few Christmas items in there. It was nice to see a little bit of Christmas. :scene:

A busy Monday morning after another busy weekend. I went shopping Friday. I found dd a Easter Barbie doll on clearance. It is really cute and it's a nice addition to her Barbie collection. Of course the best dolls she has are her Christmas barbies! :smilecc:

We started our kids fundraising at church yesterday. Our goal is to fundraise for a year and then see how much we have and plan a really special trip for the kids. Of course we'll have to do something extra special with them at Christmas time. :santa: :rudolph1:

Saw the pictures of the flooding in Tennessee on the news and it's just stunning. Praying for these folks. Also worried about the oil spill in the gulf coast. Absolutely devastating. We have vacationed on the Mississippi Coast. But never been to Florida or Alabama. We were hoping to go this year but with the work requirements it's not looking good. Hubby has some employee problems. It seems in this economy people would be more concerned with keeping there jobs. But I guess some people just think they are so valuable that they can do anything they want. But I'm not worried. Cause I know that God and Santa are both watching!

Hope all my Christmas friends have a wonderful week!

If the previous years are any indication, the Hallmark Dreambook should be released later this month. I just love browsing the Christmas ornaments. :shop:

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! I stopped by the local panderia to pick up some mexican sweet bread for my students. We do not have many Mexican students in the private school I teach at despite the city we live in here in CA. But they asked me to bring them some and my dd was happy because that meant she got to pick one out for herself. Because of today I made sure I wore green and red which symbolizes my favorite holiday, Christmas!

Busy making decisions about my parent's trust fund/home.......for tax purposes it must all be completed by the end of December. This is not my kind of holiday focus. Tonight we're going to watch the Walt Disney Treasures collection of Christmas at Disneyland to lift our souls. :holly1:
