Xxx sure hope you complete healing this weekend. It's a lousy. Congrats on this being your o only winter cold/bug. You must have healthy habits and that is Christmas positive behavior!

It has been a very tough week for me and my family. I haven't felt very Christmassy at all. I am hoping that a quiet weekend in will help to get us centered again. Life definitely gets put into perspective at times like these.

Our not-so-little Himalayan cat thinks our friends gerbil is her personal toy. It's a bit nerve wracking but the gerbil seems amused and the cat determined. Sorta like a little Christmas game.

So my Christmas friends, are all you all prepared for the "big game" tomorrow? All my Super Bowl spread is refrigerated or prepped for BBQing. Pre-Christmas my time is too busy to follow the season but I do enjoy a good party around play-off or Super Bowl games. Hope you have a great time too,. GO BRONCOS!

We made beef stew for "Souper" Bowl weekend. not sure if the game is shown here or not, usually the times don't match very well and we don't have any of the big sports channels. Have to rely on my Christmas friends to keep me informed.

In previous years we have made a pot of soup and watched a football themed Movie. Football soup (White chili) is a favorite and we like Black Sunday, Sum of all Fears, or .........a Christian film that came out a few years ago, whose name has now suddenly left me. I Think I saw something on the Hallmark facebook page about a football Movie recently. Have to look for that. This year, between being busy at work and Perky's surgery, we didn't have time to plan. Feels like we are still behind from Christmas.

Past experience tells me you & Perky will improvise something great. So glad he is healing & you are done moving tables. Hope you both rest....Enjoy good food....watch great movies. That will catch you up post-Christmas quickly.

I hope you very one had a restful and fun Saturday. It has been such a strange winter here (no real snow) that I did some yard work today. Burning brush made me think of the yard work I did the day after Thanskgiving (which was strange enough). At that point I was eager with anticipation for Christmas!!

Merry Super Bowl Sunday Christmas friends! Hope everyone has a great time! We watched You're in the Super Bowl Charlie Brown on YouTube and listened to Hometown Heroes from Down Gilead Lane, a Christian Radio drama. We are watching Bulldog Drummond Movies from the 30's for our primary Entertainment right now. Hope everyone has a great day rooting (sp) for their favorite team!

It definitely is post-Christmas time strange weather here too Kiwi. We're going to be near 90F this week!! Working outdoors - in nature - can be so relaxing. How are the squirrels and birds doing minus the snow? Do you forsee any problems in Spring with a lower water table? Enjoy your Sunday! :peekleaves2:
