A friend of mine was selling off her excess Avon inventory so I bought quite a few things. I'm gonna keep them for small Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. :shop:

Today we had one of those 'produce more or less" meetings at work so the team decided to have a picnic indoors! We need some R&R to reduce stress. I took Christmas cookies!

We all need a little Christmas nowadays don't we? :smilecc:

Today it felt like Christmas was so far away and then I looked at the number of days left and couldn't believe how close it is. I better start working on my Christmas cross-stitch stockings - now just to find where I put them.

Hubby has a very important business meeting about a really big job tomorrow afternoon. It could mean alot for us especially since our finances have really taken a beating this last year. I'm trying to think Happy Christmas thoughts so my mind won't stress about it so much! :D

Today was filled with emotional reactions to changes at work. I played upbeat Christmas tunes in my car and tonight will read a Christmas story to life our spirits.

Noel, my Christmas friend, it's sounds like things are not going too well at work. :| Has your hubby had any luck finding employment? Here's hoping things start looking up for you guys very, very soon! :holly1:

I'm spending my day cleaning house and then going out to work in my yard and garden! We're already enjoying fresh lettuce, mixed salad greens, onions, and radishes. And I've been picking the most delicious strawberries!!! :dinner: Hope all my Christmas friends have a great Saturday!!

Hubby's business meeting was postponed from today until tomorrow. Arghhhh! I hate waiting. I have no patience whatsoever. At least I got alot done around the house today. And I watched A Christmas Story so that made me feel a lot better. :smilecc:

I finally finished the Sunday School lesson for tomorrow. Since it's Mother's Day tomorrow, our lesson is on the importance of honoring our mothers. I have been blessed with a wonderful Mother that I love dearly. As I have stated many times on this site, I credit my Mom for giving me my amazing love for Christmas! :scene:

Thanks for the prayers CandyKane. My sweet DH accepts temporary consulting positions, but unemployment is near 20% in Phoenix. I thought I was frugal before but I'm learning a whole new definition to that word. God is faithful!

Just couldn't believe the snow. Hubby and I were out on a date night and we're going to the coffee shop after dinner and it started snowing. I was just in shock and my feet where quite chilly too because I was wearing flip flops. I would never think to wear flip flops close to Christmas but I figured in May I would be okay. lol In my whole life I had never seen it snow in May. My mom had but it was May 3 ages and ages ago when she was younger. I guess now I have stories to tell.

We're having unseasonably cold temps here too. After a week of 85 degree days it actually feels like Winter outside. :snowwow: No snow, but a little Christmas would be more than welcome!
