"CHRISTMAS" Thread - 1500

The place for Christmas and non-Christmas chatter.

The next 2-3 months are going to be super stressful for me. Hubby has some really big business contracts he will be starting on Monday and it's always a nightmare for me until they are over and we have the check in our hands. I know it seems like I'm wishing my life away, but I wish it was September. The temps would be cooling off, their would be the first hints of Fall, and Christmas preparations would be in full swing! :smilecc:

I was in a very crafty mood yesterday. I made a centerpiece for dd's birthday party, finished decorating and packing the kids goody bags, and even made a paper bag pinata! :D Maybe I should get started on some crafts for Christmas. :scene:

I bought a new notebook to start my new Christmas journal. And I also bought a couple rolls of plain brown kraft paper. I thought the kids at church would have fun decorating them with markers, paints and stamps. Then we could sell our homemade wrapping paper at our Christmas craft bazaar.

We had a pop-up thunderstorm yesterday. I'm so glad because I won't have to water my garden today. Yay!! We're getting lots of fresh veggies now. Including beans, squash, and green tomatoes. Fried green tomatoes!! YUM! :dinner: Of course I'll be doing lots of canning and freezing. Those veggies are going to taste extra good at Christmas time!

Wow! That's early even for Hobby Lobby. I can understand them having ornaments out as inspiration for crafters, but I'm not sure I'm ready to see Christmas trees in the stores. :elf:

Noel--It must be nice to just run down the street to Hobby Lobby. I have to drive an hour to get to our nearest store. Maybe that's why I'm behind on my Christmas crafts...

We spent the morning at church and the afternoon in the pool. Great way to spend a 98 degree day. It's gonna be 100's all week long. We could use a little Christmas weather right now too! :snowwow:

Yesterday my dd watched A Charlie Brown Christmas and today she watched Barney's Christmas special. She loves Christmas almost as much as her Mamma does. :smilecc:
