Jolly O'Leary wrote:first year we have seen Easter bread! It tastes just like Christmas bread! In medieval times, the bread guilds only allowed the sell of gingerbread at christmas AND easter. somewhere along the way, it became just tradition to have it only at Christmas. We bought a loaf and will go back tomorrow and buy another one to encourage them to have it again. We also have two loaves of Christmas bread frozen for Christmas in July.

Wishing all my Christmas friends a very safe and Happy Easter weekend.

Noel+ wrote:The Passover Pie was a hit with we adults. The kidfos made lemon juice faces & had leftovers. Jolly it was a little "wet" (tunny) as grandma used to say. But also memorable. I can adjust the recipes a bit next year. It deepened our experience to think we ate much of what Jesus ate on his last day.
Blessings everyone on Easter morn!

actually if I had a choice, I would come to work on Monday and be off on Friday. It has been the experience during most of my working life that if one does not have Monday on Monday, one has Monday all week which is no Christmas fun. I also find that being in when others are not is also an advantage and counts as double "vacation" days.
