Here is the link to the Hallmark Happy Yule fireplace with carols if you don't have that channel. We love the rescue pets, setting and music. Enjoy.

Merry Christmas to all my Christmas friends! We made it to Julotta and had breakfast at church. We have now awoken from our second sleep (we come jome and crash after Julotta) and will soon have julbord leftovers for lunch, then start on our American christmas dinner of a small turkey breast, english stuffing, brussel sprouts, and baked sweet potatoes with mincemeat tart for dessert.

Yes, it is quite nice that both are holidays in Sweden even when they do not fall on a weekend. I asked Perky what he would be having on Christmas Day if we did not have an american christmas dinner. He said "steak"..........oh? I am about to start trimming the brussel sprouts. I Heard a line on Fibber McGee and Molly that is hilarious:

someone asks Molly where she is spending chrismtas. her answer: "in the kitchen".

That about sums it up. After Christmas dinner we will be preparing the peaches and Cream overnight french toast. We usually have an English breakfast on Boxing day, but this year I have some Christmas bread that was in the freezer for over a year. It did not thaw out as well as I would have liked, but it too good to waste. So, overnight french toast it is. Going on the annual boxing day Cruise tomorrow. Woohoo!

Glad Annandag Jul!! Happy Second day of Christmas (translation from the Swedish). Today I am baking overnight peaches and Cream french toast and we are off on the Lundgren Family Annual Boxing Day Cruise. Perky is still fighting a Cold but determined to go. Hope all my Christmas friends have a blessed Monday after Christmas.

We didn't get any snow for Christmas. Just drizzling rain. Bah! I am thankful that we didn't get the severe weather they had forecast though. :D
