Okay - now that the second busiest season (end of school) next to Christmas is over, I can really start getting back to my love of Christmas!!

I've started working on a new blog for CAY. Mostly because when I deleted my personal blog, it did something with the CAY one, so I have to start from scratch. Although not altogether a bad thing because then I get to search for some nice Christmas templates.

We celebrated our youngest birthday with her school friends the last week of June (her birthday's near the end of July) and had a great time. Not as many kids as last year (last year we had 15, this year 11), so it was much easier to manage.

School ended on a Tuesday this year which made it feel like it wasn't really the end. Overall the girls did well in school - can't wait for next year!!!

Christmas in Canaan....I've seen it before and it is a good movie. Didn't know there was a book series. I'll have to check it out! :smilecc:

Just got some new Christmas things that I ordered from the Avon clearance outlet. I got a set of three ornaments that you personalize and an ornament for my brother. It says Mom's Favorite First Born on it. I thought he'd get a kick out of it since he always teases me and says since I'm the baby I'm Mom's favorite. :D

I stopped by Michaels last week and right on schedule, they had a lot of their fall florals out. Lots of beautiful items. I'm always excited to see the appearance of fall items. :peekleaves2:

In case anyone is interested, the Hallmark Ornament Premier is this weekend! I plan on stopping by to browse the Christmas ornaments. :gbhouse:

Great day today, not to much to complain about, getting ready to take a mini vacation. Hope to do some early Christmas shopping while we are gone. :smilecc:

I also just realized that Christmas in July is on a Sunday. I have to think up something really fun to do with the kids at church. :D

Woke up to rain this morning. This makes the 3rd day where we have gotten rain, and no I am not complaining one bit. We have over 2 inches in the rain guage already.

I finished a handmade greeting card that I'm going to enter in our county fair. The last 3 years I have entered Christmas cards, but this year I made a pretty glittered butterfly. I also finished a scrapbook that I'm going to enter. I'm really proud of it. :smilecc:

Will be heading out to the Library and Mall today - just too hot to stay at home. I'm going to start looking for Christmas books and ideas at the Library - could spend the whole day there - until my kids get bored at least. LOL

With only 170 days left until Christmas, we are going to have to make 6 posts every day if we want to reach our goal. :gbhouse:
