Hello again to all my CAYer's,,, I have been trying for awhile to get on here and I am so thankful that it is fixed. Hope everyone has been enjoying their spring/summer. We just returned yesterday from a week at Myrtle Beach, SC. The family loved it, and I put up with it (not a hot weather fan, bring on winter!), anyway trying to reclaim the house from the mess of coming home from vacation. will be back on later to talk more about what has been going on and of course Christmas!!!

It's good to hear from you again ksrjreed!
I'm glad your family enjoyed their vacation. The beach can be a lot of fun.
Only 196 days till Christmas! It'll be here sooner that we think.

The kiddos are anxious for Christmas in July. Since our temps have been over 12 above normal they want an entirely frozen meal! Their movie choices are also changing but the list will be modified a couple of more times before July. That's how we Christmas roll in this family! :holly1:

We started planning our Christmas in July tonight, I do believe the movie choices will change as we get closer to time but I can't wait, the thought of Christmas being in the air just makes everything feel so much better. We listened to Christmas music today and somehow that turned in to us watching the movie Scrooged. The wifey and myself have decided that tomorrow just might be a Christmas movie marathon. Doesn't sound half bad. :smilecc:

In my house Noel we always start with Christmas Vacation but this year may be different, my youngest has really gotten into the Christmas movies and his favorite right now is Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas so we start out with it.

Trying something huge today in my house, we are cutting out expenses we don't really need and the first two things to go are home phone and cable, my youngest daughter is upset over the cable but she never watches it, my kids are always on YouTube and Netflix so I don't see paying that much money for tv they are not watching. The wife and myself see the savings as a way to start doing some upkeep projects on the house, first is new flooring in the living room, taking up carpet and putting down laminate, with any luck I will get my first real Christmas tree this year. :smilecc:

Had a very good evening with the wife, the kids were off doing their own thing and it was just us in the living room watching television (would like to say we were watching a Christmas movie, but not tonight, maybe tomorrow evening), but we were able to have some quit peace time, kinda like the end of A Christmas Story. :smilecc:

Good Saturday CAYer's, hope everyone has a great day, spending the first part of mine with my Challenger League team and then this evening our band booster officials are having a summer get together, should be a fun time seeing that the booster group love to make fun of the wife and my love for Christmas.

Part one of the day complete, now to get ready for the Booster party, having fun with some good friends is always nice, it is really nice now seeing that I found my Christmas CD's in the car and we listened on the way to baseball and will be listening on the way to our party as well. :smilecc:

Our first Christmas in July Movie is Always Christmas in July (1940) with Dick Powell and ends with Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. In between some of our favorites are Christmas in Paradise, oFF Season, Call Me Claus, Christmas Town, Moonlignt & Mistletoe as well as a few cartoons. Baby Looney Toons, Rescuebots, and PunkyBrewster all have Christmas in July eps on YouTube.
