That is great news about Perky's spinal tap. A little memory of Christmas is always a good thing too. :D

True, he told me afterwards that he had two nightmares. He heard them say "oops" during the procedure and was then paralyzed. It's also possible a cat as sleeping on his legs. He was worried about the procedure, I am worried about the results. But the God of Christmas is in control. For now, the stress is over. He sees the dr on 2 November.

I know it isn't Christmas music, but....
Little River Band is playing tonight on the free stage at the Georgia National Fair. I hope I can talk Michelle into going. They have my all-time, number one, absolute favorite song:
Reminiscing. I would love to at least stay and hear that particular song. #fingerscrossed

Here's hoping Michelle has her fingers-crossed in a Christmas mood and ready to hear your favorite song by the band. :D

ION Television will airing 5 brand new Christmas movies this year starting right after Thanksgiving. Do you think they're trying to copy the success of the Hallmark Channel? I think so and I hope more networks follow suit. We need more wholesome programming on TV.

True, but would like to see some less formulaic. There were some great Hallmark films in the 80's and 90's that were not just two people getting together, or families finding a step parent, etc. They used to tell a variety of stories. My husband summarized most hallmark movies lately: first man you see and first woman will eventually get together. there is some sort of problem they work together to fix, fall in love. Then there is a conflict and they break up/have a mis understanding. Then all is well and they get back together. I hate to say it, but he is right. Mostly I love hallmark movies for the scenery.....I watched Harvest Moon last week on Netflix and hope they show a few of their Christmas movies. oh, and I finally got FeelN to cancel my account. All I had to do was send a facebook message, go figure..........counting down the weeks until Christmas!

You are absolutely right. Almost every movie, Christmas or otherwise, follows the same formula. Meet, start to fall in love, conflict, resolution, fall head over heels for each other, then end with a kiss. The kiss almost always comes at the end of the movie on the Hallmark channel. HMM has kissing in the middle of the movie sometimes.

The 2017 CMA Country Christmas TV special will air the Monday after Thanksgiving and will be hosted by Reba McEntire.
Do you think they'll get political or keep it 100% Christmas?

I won't watch it but I hope they keep it 100% Christmas. Otherwise, if I were watching, the off button would be quickly following. I think actors and musicians should voice their opinions only outside of "work" like anyone else. Let's just focus on Christmas.
