No, my tree died, I had a prelit tree but when I tried it out my lights did not work, so it's off to get a new tree, trust me my house feels dark and empty. :smilecc:

My lie is full of change at this time, and alot of is not wanted! But that is life, isnt it? I'm anxious for Autumn temps..........something to show that Christmas is just a few months away.........but it doesn't come. So I'm practicing Christmas in my heart by singing carols, remembering the past, and planning for the future. :scene:

Sorry you're having so many problems with your tree ksrjreed. Hope you find a new one soon. I bought a prelit tree at Wal-Mart 4 years ago. I really like it but every year when I put it up I'm scared to plug it in in case the lights don't work. But so far so good. (With fingers crossed for this year) :D

It is POURING down rain again today. The 4th day in a row. I am really getting tired of rain. :|

Dd's favorite program is Sid the Science Kid. And today the episode was about cold weather and Christmas. It was a nice treat. Especially since I have to record every episode so she can watch them over and over.

I finally braved outside with my big umbrella to check the mail and I'm so glad that I did. I got my Terry's Village Christmas catalog. What a great way to cheer up a very dreary day. :smilecc:

Candy Kane just send the rain to Phoenix!!! We are desperately dry -- 12 yr drought!!

My prelit tree is nice...........but they have an easier one out now, and I hope for that one in 5 years. I'm getting too old for this part of Christmas -- NOT!

I have had a really good day actually a good week so far with this telecommuting stuff. My blood pressure is down and so is the stress of office life that was getting to me. Now if I could just get myself into my Grand plan it would make Christmas go easy for me too. :smilecc:

It's raining again today. :| It did let up long enough for me to get out of the house for awhile. I went to visit my parents then got in a little shopping. This weather is really gettting depressing. Luckily my thoughts of Christmas are keeping me cheered up. :smilecc:

That's great news ksrjreed!!

I telecommute every other week and bring home the laptop tomorrow for next week. I prefer working at home -- no noise, no gossip, -- but also miss my babies!

It is the wave of the future I predict! :flake:

The weather's starting to cool off here (as if it ever really got hot this year though - lol). It's starting to feel a bit like autumn and autumn always makes me feel Christmassy! Strange how those two things go together for me. Perhaps because Autumn and Christmas are my favourite times of year! :D

We are warming up to the DVD Faux Fire.
The wonderful sounds of Christmas music and crackling fire.
Friends always laugh at me. They say "You have a real wood stove down in the family room".
But In the winter it's almost like having two fires, one in the woodstove and another up here on the TV screen.

Looking outside today the leaves on all my trees are starting to change, I love it. Last night did some internet window shopping and have decided my youngest one this year will be getting a lot of Toy Story things from the Disney Store. He loves the movies and since they are gearing up for the third one they have already started putting the toys back on the market(yeah for me, I love Toy Story). It was nice sitting at home and doing some Christmas shopping. :smilecc:

I did the math and to hit the 1200 mark from right now, we would need to have seven post per day from now until Christmas Eve

If I remember correctly, last year we reach our post goal on Thanksgiving day. This year it might take us a little longer but I have no doubt we'll make it. The closer it gets to Christmas, the more friends we will have to help us post. :smilecc:

Hubby got a Christmas card catalog in the mail today. It has cards with a guy theme. Race cars, motorcycles, hot rods, etc. I found a couple cards I think I'll order. They'll be a great addition to the more traditional Christmas cards we send out.

CandyKane I have never seen the guy themed Christmas cards before. What a great idea! :smilecc:
A few weeks back I went to a yard sale where I purchased three packages of Christmas cards for 30 cents. They were still sealed, never opened. They are not the fanciest or prettiest cards, but when your on a tight budget you just can't afford $5 - $10 on Christmas cards.
