We are going out to a birthday party tonight - I think it is a BBQ. As much as I want to celebrate with Brooke, I am not looking forward to being outside tonight. It is supposed to get down to minus 3.

I hope they keep the fire going.

Wow - 3C is a bit chilly. Here I am just putting a sweater on at 15C (the sun is going down).

Tonight is a late night for dinner - it's already 8:20 pm - hubby is working late so we're going out for supper, just not sure where.

Lemme see, did a pasta bake last night. Kevan wants chicken curry tonight, so I'm making that for him. My tummy isn't too good today so I might make do with some soup. :flake:

Help yourself night - I had tea and toast, the kid had party pies with tomato sauce and OH is still at work, so probably ordered in a pizza.

Tomorrow night I am making pork spare ribs with veges (marinated in smokey BBQ sauce).

I was the only one home last night so I did not worry about the spare ribs. Tea and toast again.

Not sure I want to plan meals at the moment, everyone seems to be out all the time.

Looks like nachos and just some finger food type stuff - NASCAR is on and hubby doesn't want to BBQ during the race. Perhaps the race will end early enough for a BBQ.

Last Sunday we had nachos too because NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 was on - I also heard it had more viewers than the Indy 500 this year - a first.

Tonight, I don't know what we'll be having. Something with tomatoes because they are looking really ripe and I don't want them to spoil.

Tomorrow, I'm going out to East Side Mario with another member of our School Community Council (like a Parent-Teacher board, but only one teacher rep, principal, vice principal, admin assistant, someone from the community, plus a lot of parents) to see what they want to offer the school. Then on Thursday, I'm off to a Teacher Librarians dinner. So I've got 2 days where I don't have to cook!!!

I don't know about anyone else, but with Summer arriving I tend to lose a lot of interest in cooking. Salads and pasta would suit me. Shame I can't get hubby on board more often. :dinner:

Hubby barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs. I made fries and did up a salad. The kids ate the hamburgers and we have tons of left over hot dogs (hubby cooked the whole package) so we're having hotdogs in our lunch bags tomorrow.
