Oh Noel--I was really hoping that you would get some rain cause I know how much you were looking forward to it. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :D

I just started using Facebook this week and I have already found out it can be very addictive. And it has helped me reconnect with some old friends from past Christmas forums. Yeah!! :smilecc:

Glad your Facebook experience is a good one CandyKane! :smilecc:

Today we had 99% chance of rain........not in our neighborhood. Oh, well......

The Christmas items are boxed up and tomorrow will resume their 10 month stay on the shelves. The house seems so.........plain! :holly1:

We had a thunderstorm last night. The thunder and lightning woke me up then the sound of pouring rain put me right back to sleep. :sleephat: I'm glad it was only rain and not sleet and snow. I think as soon as Christmas is over it should jump right to Spring!

We are going on 5 straight days of strong winds and rain. Not as strong as hurricane weather so I am thankful for that and I am also thankful for the rain. CA is considering passing a law that will put a limit on how much lawn you can have on your property because of the drought. I love yards with lots of lawn, flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Growing up and living in Vt, where everything everywhere is so green, it would be strange to have someone tell me how much lawn I can have. It does make sense for CA though. It was cold here today. Snow and ice coming this weekend.

Happy Friday everyone!
I was on my way to work today in the rain listening to The Pretenders sing Have Yourself A merry Little Christmas. It was nice.

I am hoping to do the ornaments from the monthly ornament challenge in CAY.

Have a good weekend.

Usually the Christmas forums are really dead for the first few months after Christmas. But it's so exciting to come here and see new posts everyday. :smilecc:

This is the weekend my Christmas decorations are to come down. Although as I'm thinking through the activities we have planned, I'm beginning to wonder when we'll get a chance to take them down. Might have to stay up another week.

I live in the southwest too and its a 12 yr drought! We finally got rain on Thursday/Friday in my area and it was much needed. We did not get the strong winds/rain that the northern part of the state received but it was needed. I used to live in California and we are following the rain effects closely. Stay safe!

My decorations are 99% down/stored. I still have a few remnant pillows, and decorations I need to get put away today. My daughter said to be as cheerful as when we put them up........somehow it takes longer and is drearier! I need an attitude check and got one from a child!

Well I'm sitting here basking in the glow of my Christmas tree. We haven't had a chance to take the Christmas decorations down yet. Instead I told my friends that we'd watch their kids tonight, so we just couldn't have all the boxes out  Perhaps tomorrow there will be time, but maybe not.

We have had friends over this evening. We didn't get to spend much time with them at Christmas so we really enjoyed our visit. :smilecc:

There was no time today to take the Christmas tree and decorations down. Well there was time but we choose to spend it together doing some fun things instead. The girls each got a couple science type kits for Christmas, so we made bubble gum and bath fizz balls. My youngest just couldn't wait to take a bath, it was really cute.

Good morning everyone. This weekend was very nice. The only time I had to leave the house on Saturday was to go to the library and then out for pizza for dinner. Sunday of course of church and later we tried a new frozen yogurt place. Great family time. Looking forward to a great week.

I bought a Christmas gift for hubbies nephew today...a little tikes push toy. Now I need to start a new Christmas journal so I can keep track of gifts I've already bought. :shop:
