Post #600 WooHoo!! We're halfway there! :smilecc:

MistletoeMisfit--I love yard sales. Some of my favorite Christmas treasures have come from yard sales and flea markets. :rabstar: You found a great deal on your cards. And I'm sure they're lovely. I have never seen a Christmas card I didn't like.

Thanks CandyKane.
I love the yard sales too. I don't get out to them as often as I would like. But the treasures that can be found. I picked up DS a Star Wars book that day for 50 cents. He was thrilled! I should have saved it for Christmas, but I was so excited I gave it to him when I got home. :D

I was speaking with a friend tonight who informed me of a new Nintendo DS game. It is a Christmas Carol. It is supposed to be coming out in November. Now I am not a gamer at all!! Not many I would be interested in playing at all. But A Christmas game now that's a whole different story.
DH's favourite Christmas movie is A Christmas Carol. So I think it would be a perfect couple gift for Santa to bring us.

I had no idea they were making A Christmas Carol for the nintendo ds. But I just checked Amazon and it's available for pre-order. http://www.amazon.com/Disneys-Christmas ... 394&sr=8-8 We bought a Wii last Christmas and I thought I'd get a ds or dsi this year. I used to love the old game boy.

CandyKane I had no idea until last night. My friend has a DS so she is always checking out the new games that are coming out. She saw the Christmas Carol game and immediately thought of me.
Our two oldest have DS's. I guess you can have one Christmas Carol game and connect the DS's so two can play. Our kids play a Mario game this way. I know my husband would love to play the Scrooge part.! :D

Right now I NEED chocolate and we have none in the house. I can't drive the 10 minutes to the General Store just for chocolate. Soooo I will have to wait until we go to DH ball game late afternoon.
The last time I was in any of the big stores there were no Christmas items yet. Just Halloween and Autumn. But I know by Halloween there should be a few things. Can hardly wait!!!!

Last night I really got into the Christmas spirit....I made hot coacoa (and had the entire house to myself!) and then browsed CAY. Hooray only 96 days until Christmas! :snowwow:

We had a very good service at church this morning. The kids behaved so well. I'm very proud of them.

One of the local organizations is selling portrait sessions as a fundraiser. The portraits are "antique" portraits of children. I bought one today for dd and I'm taking her to have it made next weekend. If it turns out good I'll buy addtional photos for her grandparents Christmas gifts. :angelmerry: :angelsnow:

That's funny, Stephanie. Today I found myself drawn to a snow globe my aunt gave to me. I couldn't stop admiring it and wanting to buy a whole bunch more.

Ksrjreed have you heard when the new Toy Story is going to be released?
They are great movies!

Toy Story 3 comes out on June 2010, and yes I am going next week to the 3D double feature of Toy Story and TS2.

My wife and myself have already started looking at our present closet to see what we have in there for Christmas that we have been putting away since Christmas. :smilecc:

Have been watching the leaves and how they have changed so fast, can't wait til tomorrow and the first full day of fall. :peekleaves2:

My parents bought dd a spring horse. Since it was kinda expensive I told them they should have saved it for her Christmas gift. But they just couldn't wait to see her riding it. She thinks she's a real cowgirl now. She loves it and when she gets tired of bouncing on it she just sits and watches t.v.

The leaves here haven't started to change at all. Honestly I think they're too waterlogged from all the rain. We've had rain everyday for a week and they forecast is for at least 5 more days of rain. At least it gives me a chance to stay in and catch up on some Christmas movies. :smilecc: :peekleaves2:

At work right now, today is my 8 year wedding anniversary, and me and my wife still get along :smilecc: , we make fun of that all the time, we have people who got married close to the same time and after us already divorced, I think we will make it. Anyway we are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I have finally decided how my outdoor electrical work will look like this year. :scene:

Congratulations on you anniversary ksrjreed. Hope you and your wife had a good day. :holly1:

I have misplaced my Prancer dvd. I really wanted to watch it because it's one of my favorite Christmas movies. Maybe I'll find it soon. :reindeer2:

Thats the spirit NOEL, I truely have to say of all the seasons I do love fall the most because of the colors and the temps start getting cooler(sorry to bring that up noel :D ), and it just gets me ready for Christmas, because like today we only have 63 days until Thanksgiving, which after Thanksgiving Christmas will be here faster than anything. :peekleaves2:

We have so much going on that I am really, really stressed right now. But my thoughts of Christmas are helping to get me through each day. Hopefully, things will get better soon. :santa: :elf:

I am looking forward to Halloween this year. :pumpkin: We'll be taking dd trick-or-treating then we're all helping out at the Fall Festival. I was thinking about the holidays today and my mind drifted to thoughts of Thanksgiving and the Macy's Parade. For me it's not officially Christmas until I see Santa come down the street at the end of the parade. :merrysleigh:
