Happy Leon Day!!!!
June 25th is Leon Day. Leon is Noel spelled backwards and June 25 marks the six month point until Christmas. Half way there!

We had planned on celebrating with a half of a muffin (each) from 7-11 and 1/2 of a cup of coffee after dinner. Have to save that idea for next Half Christmas.

I was saving a link to post today, but cannot now locate it. I came across a link to nickelodeon channel about half Christmas, but could not open it in my country. So you might check the tv schedule to see if they are doing anything.

I had also thought to post a link to Bing Crosby's The First Noel and the Christmas cartoon Noel I noticed is on youtube. I have not seen it, but it sounded cute.

Happy Leon Day!!!!! We are spending the day listening to Christmas music and will be watching some movies this evening after Youth Group tonight. Speaking of Youth Group I will be doing a Christmas themed lesson with them tonight, just to keep the spirit going. Hope everyone has a great Leon Day. :smilecc: :holly1:

The way we save things for Christmas in July and August, I am thinking to make some special kind of muffin during the christmas holidays and then freeze them for Leon Day or Half Christmas to have with the opening of the leftover Christmas coffee. Maybe some Christmas scones..........have to work on that idea.

No change in hubby, no treatment either. I fear they will send him home tomorrow with no diagnosis and no treatment. You might have to wait 10-12 hours in an american ER but at least they do not stop until they find your problem and treat it.........I told him to ask them what he was supposed to do if he becamse sceptic if they send him home? The drs come when family is not allowed and when family is allowed, the drs do not come. Not a christmas joyful day.

Pray also that they keep him at the same hospital. Sometimes the hospitals here are specialized and the one he is at right now is convenient both the home and my work via bus and subway. I do not drive in Sweden. Keep those Christmas prayers coming!

ABC Family is getting into the Half Christmas spirit! so wish I was there, maybe when Perky comes home from the hospital we can have a christmas Movie Marathon.

oh yeah, he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of chicken pox. He has been sick for 4 weeks, so I wonder how "aggressive" (sp) but it could be he had ordinary flu and because of his impaired immune system picked up the chicken pox as a side affect? we may never know but at least they have a diagnosis. Unfortunately, as all parents know the only treatment is time and calamine lotion! He said he felt the same but to me was more lucid and coughing slightly less. they said probably two more "bad Days" then recovery for a week at home.

Hubby has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of chicken pox made worse by the fact that 1) he is 53 years old, 2) he never had it as a child, and 3) he is undergoing chemo therapy. Today he will be moved to the infection ward where they can keep an eye on him for a couple of days (they do not really know) and then home for a week (I think it will be more). I am working minimum hours right now thanks to my backlog of overtime. I think he will have a long recovery time at home. Glad I did not book the Christmas in July cruise, I am thinking this will be a stay at home Christmas in July marathon month.

maybe I should buy this for Hubby's home recovery. Holiday in Handcuffs is one of his favorite Christmas movies as he has a "thing" for Melissa Joan Hart. :-)

Michelle and I went to Savannah yesterday. We had a great time. Had some shimp and red beans and rice at Hueys. YUM!
We also went to a small shoppe called "Christmas On The River". This is one place "I" have to stop at when we go shopping.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday, spent mine with our last Saturday baseball game of the year, we still have our annual Challenger League State Tournament that the kids are always excited for.

We are also in the slow process of getting our VBS in order, our theme this year is Willie Robertson's Redneck Rodeo, if you think you have heard the name then you have least heard of Duck Dynasty. We thought putting a big sign in front of our church with the words Redneck Rodeo would gather some attention, also we are going to use some of the Christmas songs in our music, mainly because each year we take up donations and this year we are putting those donations toward shoebox gifts and we are going to have the kids singing the Christmas music while we explain shoebox gifts to all the parents.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday, I will spend the start of mine at church then it is off to the in-laws to kill some weeds, finally it will back at church. Have a great day and keep Christmas in your heart. :smilecc:
