Hopefully, like us [and Polar Express], they always hear the bell ring when they grow up. A short period of doubt about Christmas seems a rite of passage.
Did you tell her the story of the real St. Nicholas?

Today has a solemn note: Holy Innocents Day
ImageHoly Innocents Day (also referred to as Childermas) commemorates the massacre of male children at Bethlehem by King Herod’s order (Matthew 2:16). Also known as the Feast of the Holy Innocents, this day is observed in the Western churches on December 28th and in the Eastern churches on December 29th. These children are considered martyrs, Saints of God, by the Church.

Oh yes we read all about him. We also continued our Christmas Eve tradition of reading about the birth of Jesus from Luke and Twas the Night Before Christmas. :nav1:

Hello my Christmas friends. I am sorry I have been away for much of this Christmas season. It has been an exciting week as my youngest brother and his wife had their second child, a baby boy on the 26th. A present only 1 day late! My brother is visiting from CT, so I have been hanging out with him as well. This has been an absolutely lovely Christmas!
