81F in Stockholm. listening to Christmas Adventures in Odyssey on the mp3 and trying to think cool Christmas in July thoughts.............have vacation days tomorrow and Friday, no cruise due to hubby's recent illness. As hot as it is going to be, I am thinking that is a good thing. We will go out to eat. We had thought about doing a lunch cruise, but no fun when it is sweltering in the ship's restaurant.......

Thinking this year's weekend marathon might consist of: Chill Out Scooby Doo, Snow Dogs, Snow Buddies, Snowmageddon, Happy Feet, and Surf's Up...........a girl can dream......... :snowwow:

Hubby wanted Christmas cookies, but it is just too dang hot to turn on the oven, so I was looking for cool Christmas desserts and found this. We do not have spearmint ice cream, but we have peppermint year round along with gingerbread and eggnog ice cream. This is looking pretty darn good. :dinner: :snowwow:

We use the Christmas week devotions from Shorter Christian Prayer for Christmas in July. Here is today's hymn for your Christmas in July listening pleasure to remind us of why we celebrate the birth of our Saviour all year long.

Today's video Christmas in July feature, sadly no longer on YouTube, but well Worth the $1.99 per episode price. I now have the series, but have only seen the CIJ ep. LeVar Burton plays the mad scientist and that makes it Worth the price!

I also found two no bake cookie recipes! One is called Key Lime Coconut Snowballs and sounds like it will go with our Hawaiian theme perfectly.

http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/key-lim ... 0001120361

and just Snowballs

http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/snowbal ... 001830667/

Thinking of making the key lime version saturday and the others for Christmas in August which this year is having an "Alaskan" theme and being renamed Snow Day in August since it is tough to celebrate on weekdays during University admin hell month.
