Fun was had by all 9 kiddies at DD5 birthday party. DH snapped a photo of her with her little boyfriend holding hands. They are too cute. She finally found a friend that doesn't mind a thousand hugs and being told a million times she loves them.
Apparently according to DD they are going to marry and have children when they are adults. She is going to change the babies diapers, but he is going to try to help too. This is all spoken with great certainty and in all seriousness. She makes me smile and giggle.
My hubby went and picked up some groceries to make a late dinner for us tonight. He found me a liter of egg nog . Three cheers for Hubbies!!!!!
I will be dreaming of Christmas tonight. :smilecc:

MistletoeMisfit--Glad your dd had a great b-day party. She sounds just darling. My dd is just a little over 2 and she's really loving too. She's my angel. :angelsnow:

Today has been a beautiful Fall day here. Hubby helped me with some outdoor projects. The biggest project was setting the posts for an addition to our backyard deck. I really wanted it to be done this summer but his work schedule wouldn't allow it. I can't wait to string my Christmas lights all around it. :lights:

We're having a pastor appreciation dinner after church tomorrow and I still haven't decided what I'm going to make. I'm pretty tired tonight so I think I'll just fix something in the morning. I have all my Sunday School things ready. Tomorrow we finish the Halloween crafts, then we can start on Thanksgiving and Christmas! :carolbells:

DH made an awesome dinner! Chicken, fresh green beans, and mashed potatoes.
After DS and I shared a glass of egg nog together. It felt a little like Christmas. DH and the girls don't really care for it. So it's just DS and I fighting over every last bit.

My crazy body and mind don't seem to want to sleep past 5:30 anymore.
This is the time DH alarm goes off during the week. But on the weekend, Good grief I don't need to be awake yet. If I don't get up I just toss and turn, there is no need for hubby to be disturbed. The children wont be awake til closer to seven. The cats momentarily awoke, even the dog has jumped on the couch for some more sleep.
It's exactly two months today until Christmas. :snowwow: :santadance: :rockettes: :santadance: :snowwow:

Was able to sleep in this morning which was greatly needed, got up feeling good looked at the calendar and thought to myself, we are 60 days from Christmas and 30 days from Thanksgiving which has me just going nuts, I told my wife and she said what I was thinking, we haven't done anything yet, although I have witnessed my first toy mob of the year, was going to Toys R Us to price the Dora Links doll for my daughter, thats her must have for this year and I am going to get it for her, anyway my wife and I got to the store before it opened and we just sat in our minivan until the store was opening, we noticed people lining up at the door, I looked at my wife and neither one of us could figure it out, we sat there for another 15 minutes and then we decided to go and get in line too, we didn't know why we were getting in line but we did it anyway. Well the store finally opened and we followed the crowd to this one incap and thats were the fun began, they were fighting over zhu zhu pets, I had never heard of them and neither had my wife, anyway I priced the doll and my wife bought a zhu zhu pet and a car or skateboard I don't know, I asked her why she bought it and she said I don't know, I think I have some sort of treasure now, we have it hidden and did our best to drop hints and ask questions to our 7 year old and she wanted one of those as well, so one present down, and I don't think I can handle that much excitement anymore,,,,,,,,,nah, I will be out on black friday, nothing crazier than that. :smilecc:

ksrjreed I too have never heard of zhu zhu pets. I think I will Google it and see what exactly they are.
DS and I went to the dollar store this morning. I was thrilled to see half of the two main Halloween aisles are being stocked with Christmas items. :shop:
I bought some Christmas bags, one new Christmas mug and some present tags. I also bought each of us a little Christmas chocolate. :santachim:

2 month til Christmas! Woohoo!! :snowjump:

After church today we went shopping. The stores here are already putting all the Halloween stuff on clearance...50 to 75 percent off. I picked up quite a few things for our Fall Festival. We'll be having several workdays this week at church getting ready for Halloween night. :pumpkin:

I watched some of the Countdown to Christmas Special on QVC and now I'm watching Christmas Vacation. I can't believe they are playing one of my favorite Christmas movies so early. :smilecc:

LOL
I forgot to mention the Christmas gift I bought them. A mini crock pot. It's stainless steel and was on sale for $18. She mentioned they needed one, the old one died awhile ago. Hopefully they don't pick one up before Christmas. I am so happy because they are both very difficult to buy for. Usually we get them a gift card they can use for a restaurant and something else small. I am really thrilled though because this year they have decided to join us for actual Christmas. I wanted them to have a few real gifts to open. Our limit was 20 per person, so I still have 10 to spend on each. :smilecc:

Last year I bought the pack of accessories to turn dd's Mr. Potato Head into Santa Claus. :santa:

MistleToeMisfit--Congrats on finding the perfect Christmas gift for your sis and bil. We never buy gifts for our siblings. Nobody needs anything and if they want it they go out and buy it for themselves. We just have big family dinners and that's better than any gifts we could give or receive. We do buy for my parents and in-laws. :shop:
