Due to excessive heat, we did not do as much as we hoped for Christmas in July. Alot of uncooked food in the fridge as it was too hot to even use the burners. Had a great dinner out last night and today is undecorating day! I did manage to Watch Christmas in July and Rudolf and Frosty's Christmas in July when I was off thursday and friday. But as the Cable box and the tv generate heat most of the time they have been off. Usual shopping and work prep today.

July means heat so our Christmas celebrations adjust accordingly. Glad you made the best of it Jolly. :D

We spent this morning cleaning up after huge storm last night. It startled & frightened the kiddos. Very very loud thunder....mega lightening...winds 60+ mph....dust .hail then a few minutes rain. It blew my front door wreath clean away although it was double knotted to security door. Roof shingles; palm tree whole beaches; even bicycles flying circular in the wind. Predictions are a couple more weeks of this grade storm levels. Whew  !

The apartment is now "undecorated" and back to its usual self. We had a nice rain storm that cooled things off enough so we could Cook dinner, but now it is hot and humid again. The long term forecast shows the heatwave lasting at least until Aug. 9. So praying for an early fall and snow. I'm dreaming of a White Christmas in August.......... :snowwow:

Merry Monday Christmas! sitting at work trying to think cool Christmas thoughts. My new Christmas movie collection still has not made it yet, might have to wait for Christmas in August which Swedish hubby is now calling Crayfish Christmas since August is Crayfish month in Sweden. I saw some cute things on ebay. This could be a new theme............Cajun Christmas music is not too hard to come by, but can't think of an appropriate movie..........Shrimp on the Barbie just doesn't seem quite right. ;-)

Storms can be very scary. Even as an adult. There is nothing you can do but ride it out. I don't like the feeling of having no control. I'm glad my Christmas friend and family were unharmed.

I love decorating for Christmas (which consists of Michelle telling me to "put this here and that over there"), but dislike the undecorating.
But don't be dismayed, it won't be long and we'll be decorating the whole house.

"watching" (listening to) Christmas on the Bayou on YouTube. It was a lifetime movie from 2013.......that could work.
