Wow - everyone's had a busy weekend! MM - where did you find the egg nog? Was it at a Loblaw's store (real Canadian, no frills, etc)? It would be great to have some on hand for the Santa Claus parade after party. I just can't believe Christmas is only 2 months away - where did all the time go?

Mrs. Claus my hubby found me a litre of Our Compliments regular egg nog at Sobeys. I think IGA and Foodland carry Our Compliments products as well. When I go grocery shopping I usually go to No Frills and I haven't spotted any there yet. Try Reids Dairy they might have some in. I don't get there very often, DH usually gets our milk at Reids, the next time he stops there I will ask him to look. It's feeling more like Christmas every day! :smilecc:

Had to go to the doctor today, I haven't been feeling very well for about two months now, but I kept putting it off, well today was the last day, I have been very stuffy and hard to breathe, two weeks ago I had a fever but got over it and thought everything would be find, come to find out I am battling a really bad sinus infection, the doctor says my head is really blocked up, I guess that parents do have to take time to take care of themselves, anyway, saw a IHOP commercial were they are already serving thier versions of Christmas pancakes, made me hungry watching it but for my money Bob Evans has the best pancakes around.

I hope your feeling relief real soon from your sinus infection ksrjreed. They are nasty things. I only had one once a few years ago, it was about 6 weeks in when I went to the doctor I couldn't stand the pressure and pain a second longer.
Your right though as parents we tend to put things off when it comes to our own health. We suffer and just expect things to always go away on there own. Unfortunately they don't always.
I still can't believe it's only 60 days til Christmas. Either next week or the following weekend I will put up our tree for the family room. :scene:

I saw a Christmas commercial this weekend for Glade candles. The commercials will be in full swing after this weekend! :singing:

Ksrjreed---Hope you're feeling better soon. :smilecc:

We've been focused on Halloween this evening. DD watched 1 of her dvd's...It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Then her daddy helped carve the Jack-O-Lantern's. We put candles in them and they look great. :pumpkin: Then I enjoyed one of my favorite Fall snacks...fresh roasted pumpkin seeds. Yum!! It's hard to believe that after this coming weekend we'll be taking down the Halloween decorations to make room for the Christmas stuff!! :treewiggle: :merrysanta: joyelf

I bought the neatest postage stamps today. They are Thanksgiving stamps depicting the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade. I also got a peek at the Christmas stamps even though I didn't buy them. :peek: The Madonna and Child stamps and the Winter Holidays stamps.

Winter Holidays
The 2009 winter holiday season will be celebrated with stamps featuring a reindeer, snowman, gingerbread man and toy soldier.
A merry reindeer dangles a red bulb ornament from his antler. Flurries of large flakes dust a snowman sporting a top hat, coal buttons and a carrot nose. A gingerbread man is decorated for the season, with green, red, and white icing. A toy soldier smiles while standing at attention. Borders of evergreens, stars, wreaths, and holly add another holiday touch to the stamps.

Stamp artist Joseph Cudd, of Greensboro, NC, created the stamps under the direction of Richard Sheaff.

Was watching one of my all time favorite movies the other night The Goonies(can't help it, I'm an 80's kid), and ABC Family had a commercial for their 25 days til Christmas programming, I popped up in my chair and was all excited, it is getting here faster and faster everyday. :smilecc:

Another rain soaked day here. I had to run some errands and I was able to get in a little shopping. I picked up a couple more things for the Operation Christmas Child boxes. I also found some more Halloween stuff for the Fall Festival. Tonight I'm going to start making the candy bags. :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :pumpkin:

My children are all excited about a new Christmas movie on ABC the first week of December. I havent' seen the commercial -- they saw it during The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It has something to do with elves and reminds them of Polar Express??

We're setting up for our Fall Festival tonight. I can't wait to see all the Halloween decorations set up. I got out all the unused Halloween craft kits and I'm going to throw them in one of the prize boxes.

I had to make a quick trip to the store. I picked up some Christmas lights and some really pretty curling ribbon. The ribbon was way too expensive but I just loved the colors; sparkly pink, purple, and teal. Not traditional Christmas colors but they'll look perfect under dd's Princess tree. :treegifts:

I get coupons in the mail all the time and today I got some for Glade fragrances. They put out a little book highlighting their Holiday fragrance collection. It has lots of coupons and sample scents for Homemade Gingerbread and Bayberry Spice. They both smell nice. I like their new candles in the decorated tins.

My all-time favorite potpourri and candle scent is The Smell of Christmas from Aromatique. :smilecc:

Post 798, just a few to go until we reach 1200 by Christmas...

I have been MIA for a while but sometimes life just gets in the way of having fun and relaxing.

I have been into the card exchange as the cut off is this Saturday and I wanted to make sure I had everyone's details. I still need XmasDVD's address confirmation and an address from Merry Sage, if they are still interested..

Hopefully I will have the list all worked out and ready to send next week.

Merry nearly Christmas everyone
