Jolly O'Leary wrote:Greetings Christmas friends! We have been having fun making plans for our trip to Texas. In San Antonio, the definitive Christmas event is the lighting of the RiverWalk and Christmas Tree at the Alamo. We have booked a "romance package" at the El Tropicana Hotel in Downtown San Antonio as a splurge. We never really had a honeymoon (unless yhou Count my cousin and her now husband staying with us) so this will be loads of fun. The El Tropicana was built in the fifties to mimic a polynesian resort and is called the "rat pack" hotel because many famous stars have stayed there. It has recently been "retrofitted" to its original appearance. We were watching the original Oceans 11 on TCM today and I told Perky to pay attention to the decor as it might look familiar when we visit SA. We also booked a room in Fredericksberg which is a "small" Town with loads of Christmas shopping and the famous Nimitz Museum which hubby will love. Trying to pack as much Christmas into our few Days as possible. We will also be going to Norrland (northern sweden) for a real Swedish christmas this year with my Swedish sister in law and her family. We will travel by train. I can't wait!

I have just finished the ebook Christmas Crazy by Kathi Daley.
http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Crazy-D ... tmas+crazy
It was cute and fun. It is the third of the series, but you really don't miss a thing. As with many ebooks, it is more like a long short story, but you can't beat the price and it was light reading after some stressful days. I look forward to getting the other ebooks in the series.
