If my Christmas presents got wet, don't worry, I'll send you another list.

Noel, is everything dried up and back to normal? I sure hope so.

Hello all my fellow CAYer's

Now that school time has arrived for the kiddies I am able to take over my computer again and talk to my favorite Christmas loving folks. The wife and myself are spending the day today retaking back the house from summer break and how are we doing it, with Christmas music of course. Hope everyone has a great day and will later. :smilecc:

So very true. I remember standing in long lines, now they do it online, but you get tons of emails "can you check to see if it worked?" and being the paranoid person I am, and the fact that this is the first time this department has done online registration, I do. It turns out hubby might not be able to be off work for Christmas, but we shall see. So looking forward to a White christmas.

Trying to decide on the Christmas in August menu. Since we have gone with the crayfish theme, I was thinking something with a cajun flair. We are having our Kräftskiva (crayfish party) on the 24th so I need something out of the ordinary and Quick for a monday night dinner. hm.............anyone from the bayou area?

KK and I were cleaning bathrooms and listening to Christmas music on Friday.
It sure does make it more fun and seems to go more quickly.

Merry Monday CAYer's

Today is still part of Operation "Take Back the House after Summer Break", we are also still trying to get the oldest one ready for move in day for college, I think she is taking better than her mom who is not ready to let her go, as for me, I know that kids have to grow up (don't like it, but I know it has to happen) and I hope that we have given her the skills and life lessons that will help her on her next stage of life. I know she will be fine and besides, she will be back for Thanksgiving and Christmas. :smilecc:

My heart goes out to you both.
Michelle cried for a little while when we dropped off our first child at college. But I was like you. I knew he was ready and it's all part of growing up.
God bless you both during this transition.
Christmas break starts mid-December. I won't be long.

Day 3 or day 4 (can't remember, I will blame the furniture polish fumes) of Operation "take back the house after summer break". Today's journey is a personal pleasure for me, I will be attacking my decoration closet, so I will go ahead and set our my fall décor (might as well, kids are back in school) and take stock of my Christmas decorations, and hope that I don't get the urge to go ahead and place some Christmas things around the house. :smilecc:

We have Christmas in August, so go right ahead. Used to have a Korean theme, but hubby got tired of that, so now he calls it Crayfish Christmas after the Swedish crayfish month of august. I ordered a "fleur de lis" that was billed as "Christmas" but is really pink and green and says "welcome" so I will put that up on august 24 when we have our Kräftskiva (crayfish dinner) and I usually put out a Merry Christmas sign but the old one got lost in the move and the new one arrived broken. so have to get a new one when we go to Texas! Can't wait for all the Christmas shopping we will do! :shop:
