Just a quick update: if you've seen the news you flash floods in Phoenix. We had to move out at 6:30am. The rain can't be absorbed by the drought hardened land so it floods. More rain predicted for next 3 days. A good year of rain here is three quarters of an inch. By early morning we had 4 inches! See Ya in a couple days.

that is what headphones are for. Hubby just bought me a new IPad mini and a Samsung entertainment device to replace my dying mp4. Now I can watch all the Christmas YouTube I want while he plays computer games. The modern family, I tease him and tell him the Mike and Carol Brady used to read in bed...........LOL

Now that school time has arrived for the kiddies I am able to take over my computer again and talk to my favorite Christmas loving folks. The wife and myself are spending the day today retaking back the house from summer break and how are we doing it, with Christmas music of course. Hope everyone has a great day and will later. :smilecc:

Merry Friday Christmas! No Christmas music today as I am listening to an audiobook I really hated to stop called Trial Run by Dick Francis. To my surprise I am finding the cold war thriller quite interesting. Hubby's Christmas in June present finally arrived in time for Christmas in august. It was ordered when he was in the hospital to give him something to watch while he recovered at home. It is Litetime Christmas mOvie collection including Holiday in Handcuffs, one of his favorites.

My cousin's wife is on baby watch this week, it would be nice it if was born on August 25! A nice Christmas in August present.

Jolly, is there any Christmas like weather in your forecast, or is it still hot there?

it has been nice normal "summer" temps in the 60's with nights in the 50's. I had thought fall was on its way but hubby said it will be 25C (not sure what that is, but anyting over 20C is "hot" here) by September 1. Some years I have been wearing gloves by the end of August.

Hubby made christmas coffee today and said it was Christmas in August. We will be having our "traditional" Crayfish dinner tonight and making Spicy Cajun Stew for Sunday and Monday's Cajun Crayfish Christmas Celebration. Also donwloaded Alligator Stomp's Cajun Christmas for background Music. Ithink this Christmas in August theme will stick for a few years. It is kinda fun. Cajun is not a style of cooking we have used Before. Found a recipe for Green bean and wax bean salad with tabasco vinaigrette I am making to go with the Salmon and crayfish later.
