I have really enjoyed watching Michael Phelps' quest for eight gold medals. That 4x100 relay race was exciting to watch.

Right now Canada has 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze.

1984 in Los Angeles was best Summer Olympics for Canadians taking at total of 44 medals. Worst Summer Olympics was in Rome, 1960 taking only one silver medal.

What I've liked the best about the Olympics this year is the opening ceremonies .

I missed the opening ceremony, but have been catching bits here and there. Team GB are doing quite well and are 3rd in the medal tables.

The Aussies have done us proud so far - up to this morning, they had 11 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze. Just amazing for such a small nation of 20 million people.

I have not watched much of it because I have been working lots still but I do manage to catch it on the news of a night or first thing the next morning around 6am before I walk the pooch in the minus temperatures we are having (not that I am complaining - much  )

:flake: I am a Winter gal...........and adore the Winter Olympics! In fact, I've been known to take vacation days to not miss the skating, skiing, and bobsledding!

In the summer I like the gymnastics, swimming, equestrian events and that's about it for me!
